Site Preparatio n 11 Site Pr eparation • The install ation surface must be clean and dry . • Do not install on a deep pile carpet. • If the appliance is installed next to a heat sour ce (e. g. cooking appli- ance), a heat insulation pad (85 x 57 cm) must be placed between the washing machine and the heat source.
Venting 12 Ve n t i n g The appliance expels hot, moist air which must be able to flow freely from the tumble dryer vent. T umble Dryer Vents The most efficient way of venting the expelled air is via a vent hose through to the out side.
Venting 13 V enting thr ough a Vent Hose The vent hose expelling the hot air should be 100 mm diameter and no longer than 4 meters. Avoid bends in the vent hose as this will reduce the air flow . The maximum leng th of the vent hose may be: 4 meters with 0 bends, or 2 meters with 2 bends.
Venting 14 V enting without a V ent Hose If a vent hose is not connected to the tumble dryer , the air can be expelled into the installation room pr ovid ing the following precautions are observed. • The ve nt(s) in use must be at leas t 30 cm fr om the wall or any other object.
General Information 15 3 Gener al Information • To prevent cr easing do not excee d the maximum load stated in the progr am table. • When using fabric conditioning sheets, we recomm end the condi- tioning sheet is pinned (using a safe ty pin) to an article of laundry and placed in the tumble dryer .
Environmental protection tips 16 2 Envir onmental protection tips • Y our laundry will become light and soft in the tumble dryer even with- out a fabric softening agent. • Loosen your laundry before loading it into the dryer . This helps to pre- vent lengthy running times and creasing.
Environmental protection tips 17 • Observe the maximum load instruct ions. Whenever possible, dry full loads. • Select the appropriate drying pr ogr am for the type and quantity of laundry . The dryer will then operate as economically as possible.

Drying 23 • SPECIAL CARE button This progr am operates with r educed heat. Press th e SPECIAL CARE button fo r fa br ic s be ar in g t he care symbol S . Gent le drying is advisable for heat-sensitive fabrics (such as acrylic and vis- cose). Start the drying pr ogram 0 Press the ST ART button.
Drying 24 Removing laundry or load ing laundry when necessary Y ou can interrupt the d rying process at any time to r emove some of the laundry or to add more laundry . 0 Open the door . 1 Caution! The laundry and the drum may be hot. 0 Remove or add more laundry .
Drying 25 Clean the fluff filter To ensur e efficient operation of the tumble dryer , clean the fluff filter after each drying progr am. Also check whether there ar e any re mnants or fluff fr om the washing in the drum; r emove immediately . 0 Press the catch of the filter lid down- wards.

Befor e rever sing the door , isolate the appliance from the mains supply . Proceed as follows to r everse the door opening direction: 0 Remove the screws A on the front panel of the appliance.

T o disconnect the wiring plug press the two plastic securing levers on the plug and pull out.
