Match the paper guides with the size of the paper that is loaded. When changing the size of the paper to be loaded Be sure to set the paper size .

17 4. Change the line type. By default, the telephone line type is set to tone dialing. Skip the follo wing steps in the procedur e below when you choose to use tone dialing . F ollow the steps in the proc edure below to select pulse dialing. Contact your local telephone compan y when you ar e not sure of the line type that you are using .

27 • When Using a T CP/IP Network T CP/IP Connection P . 28 T o print or send faxes fr om a Macintosh, you need to r egister this machine in the Macintosh. The registr ation method varies depending on the connection type. Select a method according to your en vironment.
28 Open [System P ref erences]. Click [Print & F ax]. Click the [+] icon. If you are using Mac OS X 10.4.x, click [Print] in the [Print & F ax] dialog box to display the [P r int] pane, and then click the [+] icon. Enter the IP address of this machine .
