Ports 1 through 6 on the 2H28-08R hav e SC connectors for fiber connections.

Remove the protective rubber covers from the fiber optic ports on the applicable port on the module and from the ends of the SC connectors. 2. Insert the SC connector at one end of the fiber optic cable into the port on the 2H28-08R.

Blinking indicates an LED pulse flashing at a steady rate (50% on, 50% off).

If the entry is not v alid, Local Management does not alter the current v alue, but it refreshes the De vice Date field with the pre vious value.

When the message “SAVED OK” appears, the edits are saved. 5.7.10.1 Changing the COM P or t Application After enabling the COM port as described in Section 5.7.10 , you can select one of the applications supported by the COM port: LM or UPS.

Community names act as passwords to Local/Remote Management and are agents of security access to the 2H28-08R.

Number of P or ts (Read-Only) Displays the total number of switched ports on the 2H28-08R.
