1 1 Introduction Cong rat ula tion s on y our p urc has e of th is wirel ess R F key boar d an d mous e! T his keyboard and mouse w ill finally free you of the constrai nts of your desktop by providing a wi reless connection between yo ur keyboard/mouse and your PC.
2 2 System Requirements Microsoft Win do ws NT 4.0, Windows 95, Windows 98, W indows ME, Win do ws 2000 or Windows XP operating system Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.
3 3 Hardware Installation Slide Switch Setting Step 1: Make sure your PC is switched off. Step 2: Ta k e t h e receive r and select channel CH1 or CH2 by using the slide switch on the s ide of the r eceiver .
4 Step 5: Use the slide switch on the back of the keyb oard t o s e l e c t t h e s a m e channel as the one selected in step 2 on the receiver . CH2 CH1 ID Button Step 6: Ta k e t h e mo use a n d m a k e s u r e t h e b a t t e r i e s on the back are installed correctly .
5 ID Setting Each channe l contains 2 56 sets ID . This extra ID-recognition fun ction helps t o protect against interference from other RF ke yboards in the same environment. After completing the hardware installation you must power on your PC to set the ID of the receiv er , mouse and keybo ard.
6 3. When cha nging the batte ries o f key boa rd or m ouse, ther e is n o ne ed to res et all the ID’s. Simply reset one of them. 4. When keyboard batteries are low , a battery low icon will s how on the system tray . 5. When mouse batteries are low , a battery low icon will show on the system tray .
7 4 Software Installation After finishing the hardware installation as described in this manual an d starting up your PC, you should be able to immediately take advantage of the wireless function of the wi reless keyboard and mouse .
8 5 Using the Keyboard and Mouse 5.1 Using the Key board Besides the usual keys, this keyboard also has extra dedicated keys, which provide the following ACPI, multimedia and Internet fun ctionality: .

11 5.2 Using the Mouse Driver After installing the mouse driver as de scribed in Chapter 4 you will be able to startup the Mouse Control P anel by right clicking on the KeyMae stro Mouse icon in the W indows task bar . This should appear after restarting your machine.

13 Quick Jump Function Introduction Also, after installing the mouse driv er and in voking the KeyMaestro mouse driver program you will have access to 9 special f unction icons by pressing the scroll whee l once. These 9 functions are: Mouse Control Panel Activate the Mo use Control Panel Menu.
14 6 Troubleshooting If you are experiencing problems with your keyb oard or mouse please check the following: 1. T ake out the re ceiver’s conne ctor an d check bo th the receiver’s mous e and keyboa rd plug for po ssible b roken pi ns. If the plugs a ppear no rmal then reinsert the plugs into the ir respective connectors on your PC.

If you have problems using the extra browser buttons and/or the special mouse functions - make su re you have installed t he keyboard and mo use driver correctly as described in this manual’s Chapter 4: Software Installation.
