1 1 Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of th e 2001ARF wireless keyboard and mouse kit! This keyboard a nd mouse kit wi ll finally free you of the constra ints of your desktop by providing a wireless co nnection between the keyb oard or mouse and your PC.

3 3 Hardware Installation Step 1: Make sure your PC is switched off. Step 2: Co nnect the receiver to your PC by plugging in th e receiver’s green connector into the mouse port of your PC and the purple connector into the keyb oard. Step 3: T ake the keyboard and make sure the batteries on the back are installed correctly .
4 3. Make sure the receiv er is placed in a location w here is relatively free of strong ele ctroma gnetic or transm ission so urces in order to ensure optim al reception of the keyboar d and mouse signal. ID Button Setting This wireless keybo ard kits have 25 5 sets ID in each u nit.
5 Re m a r k s : 1. Y ou must follow the procedure abo ve to set the ID of rece iver , mouse and keyboard. Once the receiver ID button is pressed you have 35 seconds to complete the entire process, or you will need to begin again. 2. Once the keyboard and receiver are plugged in, th e yellow receiver light will flash.
6 4 Software Installation After finishing the hardware installation as described above an d starting up your PC, you should be able to immediat ely take advantage of the wireless functi on of the 2001ARF wireless keyboard and mouse kit.
7 5 Using Keyboard and Mouse 5.1 Using the Keyboard Besides the usual keys, this keyboard a lso has ext ra-dedicated keys, which provide the following ACPI and Intern et functionality: Please note: In order to use these keys unde r Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95 or Windows 98 it is necessary to have the KeyMae stro keyboard driver installed.
8 5.2 Using the Mouse Driver After installing the mouse driver as de scribed in Chapter 4 yo u will b e able to start up the Mouse Contr ol Pane l by left double-clicking on the Key Ma es tr o Mo us e i co n in the Windows task bar . This should appear after restarting y our machine.

11 6 Troubleshooting When the k eyboa rd or the mo use does n't work prope rly , please che ck the following: 1. T ake out the receiver’s connector and check both th e receiver’s mouse and keyboard plug for possible broken pi ns. If the plugs appear normal then reinsert the plugs into their respective connectors on your PC.
12 11. K eep all items away from d irect su nlight, moisture , dirt, extreme h eat and abrasive chemical (cleaning) solutions. 12. Should the receiver , the keyboard or mouse become accidentally immersed or splashed by liquids, switch off yo ur PC immediately , unplug all item s and refer to your de aler for further assistan ce.
