6 Breville recommends safety first continued Special safety instructions for your Breville ikon™ Microwave Oven Wipe the oven cavity with a soft, damp cloth after each use. Leaving food residue, grease or fat in the cavity could cause the oven cavity to overheat and may cause the Breville ikon™ Microwave Oven to smoke or catch fire.
7 Breville recommends safety first continued Always ensure the temperature of food or drink which has been heated or cooked in the Breville ikon™ Microwave Oven has been tested before eating, drinking or serving to others, especially children, disabled or elderly people.
8 Breville recommends safety first continued It is recommended to regularly inspect the appliance. Do not use the appliance if power supply cord, plug or appliance becomes damaged in any way. Return the entire appliance to the nearest authorized Breville Service Centre for examination and/or repair.

11 Operating your Breville ikon™ Microwave Oven Installation Make sure that all the packing materials are removed from the inside of the door. This microwave oven must be placed on a flat, stable surface to hold its weight and the heaviest food likely to be cooked in the oven.
12 Operating your Breville ikon™ Microwave Oven continued Microwave cooking Press ‘MICROWAVE’ the LED will display ‘P100’. Press ‘M ICROWAVE’ four times or turn dial to choose the power you want, and ‘P100’, ‘P80’, ‘P50’, ‘P30’ or ‘P10’ will display for each added press.
13 Defrost by time Press ‘T IME/WEIGHT DEFROST’ twice, and the oven will display ‘deF2’. Turn dial to select the defrost time. Press ‘S TART/+30 Sec/CONFIRM’ to start defrosting. Auto reheat Press ‘A UTO REHEAT’ once and the LED will display ‘200’.
14 Operating your Breville ikon™ Microwave Oven continued Inquiring function In states of microwave cooking, press ‘MICROWAVE’, and the current microwave power will be displayed for 3 seconds. After three seconds, the oven will turn back to the former state.
15 Operating your Breville ikon™ Microwave Oven continued Hints and tips for microwave cooking Foods that are high in liquid, fat and sugar cook well in the Breville ikon™ Microwave Oven. Drier foods require shorter cooking time. Always arrange food carefully.
16 Switch off the microwave oven at the power outlet and remove the plug from the power outlet before cleaning. Keep the inside of the oven clean. When food splatters or spilled liquids adhere to oven walls, wipe with a damp cloth. Mild detergent may be used if the oven gets very dirty.
