English – 7 I NTRODUCTION We l c o m e The Personal ® music center III remote control is designed to expand your Bose ® LIFESTYLE ® V25/V35, 235, or 135 home entertainment system into other rooms of your home.
8 – English E XPANDING Y OUR LIFESTYLE ® S YSTEM Connecting your homewide antenna Plug the antenna ca ble into the Homewide Antenna connector on your LIFESTYLE ® system. Note: Plugging the antenna cable into your LIFES TYLE ® system is essential for proper operation of your Personal ® music center III remote control.
English – 9 P REPARING FOR USE Installing the batteries Use your Personal ® music center III with the LIFESTYLE ® system after installing the supplied batterie s, as follows: 1. Slide the cover off the back of the Personal ® music center III battery compartment.

T urns on the amplifier and speakers or local system that your Per sonal ® music center III is assigned to contr ol.

12 – English P REPARING FOR USE Symbols on t he display Y o u may notice if a symbol appears on the display . These symbols indicate special conditions, as described below: Setup button: use as needed Battery indicator: Y our Personal ® music center III battery is depleted by 75% or more.
English – 13 L ISTENING TO YOUR LIFESTYLE ® SYSTEM Contr olling the source The sour ce contro ls allow you to control the LIFESTYLE ® system AM/FM radio and an iPod or iPhone that is docked in the main room. The source contr ols may also control some of the features of the source connected to the rear of the LIFESTYLE ® system.
14 – English L ISTENING TO YOUR LIFESTYLE ® SYSTEM Playing a docked iPod or iPhone Y our L IFESTYLE ® system has a connection jack for yo ur Bose dock for iPod/iPhone. For connection instructions, select the UNIFY ® menu on the LIFESTYLE ® system in the main room.

Note: While browsing iPod menus, activating Shu ffle, or selecting a song while Shuffle is active, the Personal ® music center III display m ay take a few seconds to update while it is communicating with the control console.
16 – English L ISTENING TO YOUR LIFESTYLE ® SYSTEM Playing the radio T o listen to the radio, sele ct AM or FM from y our list of sour ces. The LIFESTYLE ® system turns on, if needed, and begins playing. The radio display The display on your Personal ® music center III provides information about the radio station and preset.
English – 17 L ISTENING TO YOUR LIFESTYLE ® SYSTEM Using radio presets Y o ur LIFESTYLE ® system can store up to 20 AM and 20 FM stations as radio pr esets. By assigning a pr eset number to stations, you ca n choose them quickly and ea sily . All of the presets can be used in any of the expansion rooms.
18 – English L ISTENING TO YOUR LIFESTYLE ® SYSTEM Listening to other sour ces Yo u r P e r s o n a l ® music center III can select source s connected to the r ear of your LIFESTYLE ® system contr ol console, such as a TV , CD, DVD, DVR, cable, or satellite box.
English – 19 L ISTENING TO YOUR LIFESTYLE ® SYSTEM 4. Tilt the navigation bar up or down on your Personal ® music center III to select a channel, DVD chap ter , etc. This action has the same function as the Channel Up/ Down button on the remote control in the main r oom.
20 – English L ISTENING TO AN EXPANSION PRODUCT Selecting local sour ces on your expansion product The Local selection in the source menu allows you to select and control the sources within your expansion product such as th e AM/FM radio, CD, or DVD.

Press Setup near the bottom of the Personal ® music center III to see a list of the feature settings.

24 – English A DDING S OUND TO A NO THER R OOM When to change the room code If you have multiple expansion rooms, you must change the r oom code on both the expansion pr oduct and the Personal ® music center III so they match each other , but have a diff erent r oom code than the main room and every other expansion r oom.
