59 ENGLISH Notes and accessories Theft protection Activating/deactivating demo mode The device is supplied fr om the factor y with demo mode activated. The v arious func- tions of the device ar e displayed graphi- cally as animations in the displa y during demo mode.

61 ENGLISH V olume Y ou can adjust the volume in steps fr om 0 (off) to 50 (maximum). T o increase the volume, turn the volume contr ol 2 clockwise. T o decrease the volume, turn the volume contr ol 2 counter - clockwise. Setting the pow er -on volume Y ou can set the default volume le vel at which the device pla ys when it is switched on.
62 If the sound syst em receives a traffi c an- nouncement during a telephone call, y ou will only be able to hear the traffi c an- nouncement after the call is fi nished (in so far as the traffi c announcement is still being broadcast).
63 ENGLISH Adjusting the navigation minimum volume Y ou can set the volume le vel at which the navigation announcements ar e mixed in. Not e: Adjust the volume at the na vigation sys- tem t o the maximum value. If interfer - ences occur during playbac k, slightly reduce the v olume at the navigation syst em.

66 Setting the displa y illumination colour When setting the displa y illumination, you can choose one of four pr eset colours or you can mix a colour y ourself from the RGB spectrum (red-gr een-blue) or you can se- lect a colour during a colour scan.
67 ENGLISH Adjusting the spectrum analyser The spectrum analyser on y our display shows the output le vel of the car sound sys- tem. If the spectrum analy ser is switched on, it is automatically displa yed if y ou do not press a k ey for a while during the pla y- back of an audio source.
68 Setting the number of antennas This device is equipped with tw o RDS radio receiv ers (T winCeiver). Y ou can connect one or two antennas t o the device. If two antennas ar e used (strongly recommend- ed, the second antenna is part of the scope of delivery) a directional receip tion of the station being receiv ed is possible in DDA radio mode.
69 ENGLISH Switching to radio mode If the device is in the operating modes CD/ MP3 or CD changer/Compact Drive, press the TUNER butt on = . The basic radio menu for selecting the sta- tion is display ed. The functions of the radio mode are contr olled via the radio function menu.

73 ENGLISH Scanning receivable stations (SCAN) Y ou can use the scan function to pla y all the receivable stations briefl y . Y ou can set the scanning time in the menu to betw een 5 and 30 seconds. Starting SCAN Press and hold down the OK jo ystick 8 for longer than two seconds.
74 Radio mode Listening t o stored stations Select the memory bank or waveband. Press the softke y 5 with the display label of the station name or the fre- quency of the desired station. Programme type (PTY) Besides transmitting the station name, some FM stations also pro vide informa- tion on the type of programme that the y are broadcasting.

80 CD mode Y ou can use this device t o play standar d au- dio CDs with a diameter of 12 cm. CD-Rs and CD-RWs ("self-burned" CDs) can usually be pla yed. Due to the varying qual- ity of CD blanks, howe ver , Blaupunkt can- not guarantee a faultless function.

96 Adjusting the stage effect Y ou can activate a stage effect that "r elo- cates" the music in fr ont of the driver or front passenger . This gives the impr ession of being directly in fr ont of a stage. T o re- fi ne this effect, y ou can change the vir tual distance to y our loudspeakers.
97 ENGLISH DNC D ynamic N oise C overi ng DNC allows f or raising a volume when driv- ing that is considered pleasant f or a non- driving vehicle. The increase differs accor ding to fr equency ranges, dependent upon the noise dev elop- ment of the vehicle.
98 Selecting a DNC increase Y ou can adjust the DNC increase, i.e. the sensitivity of the increase in v olume and sound, in fi ve increments. The setting "DNC 1" is suitable for v ehicles with loud engines and bass-loaded music. The setting "DNC 5" is suitable for v ehicles with quiet engines and f or classical music.
