Ventless Hood System Installation 13 Particle/Odor Filter 1. Remove the filter from the plastic bag. 2. Open the filter door on the front of the unit by rotating the handle counter-clockwise. 3. Observing the “UP” arrows on the filter, with a hand at each front corne r, carefully slide the filter into the unit.
Ventless Hood System Installation 14 Appliance Restraining Device Install appliance-restraining device as shown in the figure bel ow. In the event of an appliance fire, seriou s injury, property damage or death could occur if the appliance is not secu red to t he hood.

Ensure that lids and/or other parts of the appliance do n o t obstruct the spray pattern of either nozzle.

Remove receptacle and fo ur wires (T1, T2, T3, and Grou nd). 2. Cover junction box hole with provided pl ate and hardware removed from re ceptacle.
Ventless Hood System Maintenance 20 Maintenance Electrocution could occur if this unit is hosed d own wit h water. This unit is NOT designed for hose wash -d own cleaning! Refer to sch eduled maintenance b elow for proper hood cleaning. Electrocution could occur if powe r is not removed from this unit before servicing.
Ventless Hood System Maintenance 21 Cleaning the Grease Baffle 1. Shut down the unit. 2. Locate the thumbscrews and retaining fr ame at the top of the grea se baffle. 3. With one hand, hold the baffle to prevent it from dropping. With the other hand, lo ose n the thumbscrews and slide the retaining frame forward.
