ZyAIR G-1000 Access Point 2 1 Introducing the ZyAIR The ZyAIR G-1000 is an IEE E802.11g-compliant, 54 Mbps wireless L AN access point. It is suited for a wireless conne ction to the wired netw ork in a hom e and small office environm ent. The k ey features of t he ZyAIR G-1000 are IEEE 802.
ZyAIR G-1000 Access Point 3 2.2 The LED Display The PWR LED turns on when the power is connected. The Link LE D blin ks and t urns off. T he ZyAIR LED turns on after the system test. The ETHN LED turn s on, if the ETHERNET port is prop erly connected.

The wireless station needs to enter the username and password again before access to the wired network is allowed.
ZyAIR G-1000 Access Point 18 supports authentication, authorizatio n and a ccounting. The access poi nt (ZyAIR) is the client and the serve r is the RADIUS server. RADIUS is a simple packag e exchange in which y our ZyAIR acts as a m essage relay between the wireless station and the network RADIUS server.

ZyAIR G-1000 Access Point 23 7 T roubleshooting PROBLEM CORRECTIVE ACTION The PWR LED is off. Make sure you are using only the supplied power adaptor and the p ower adaptor is plugged into an appropriate power suppl y. Unplug the power adaptor and plug it in again.
