Water connection • Do not connect the appliance with old hoses already used. Only use new hoses. • Make sure not to cause damage to the water hoses. • Do not connect the appliance to new pipes or pipes not used for a long time. Let the water flow for some mi- nutes, then connect the inlet hose.

Hints and tips The laundry load • Divide the laundry in: white, coloured, synthetics, deli- cates and wool. • Obey the washing instructions that are on the laundry care labels. • Do not wash together white and coloured items. • Some coloured items can discolour with the first wash.
Before first use 1. To activate the drain system, put 2 litre of water in the main wash compartment of the detergent dis- penser. 2. Put a small quantity of detergent in the main wash compartment of the detergent dispenser. Set and start a programme for cotton at the highest tempera- ture without laundry.
Using the liquid detergent A • Pull out the detergent dispenser until it stops. • Pull out the detergent divider from its posi- tion (A). • Put it into the special guides in the middle of the compartment for the washing phase. • Measure out the detergent and the fabric conditioner.
• Remove the laundry from the a ppliance. Make sure that the drum is empty. • Keep the door ajar, to prevent mildew and odours. • Close the water tap. The washing programme is completed, but there is water in the drum: – The Rinse Hold option or a programme that stops with water in the drum is set.
• Press the lever and pull the dispenser out. • Remove the top part of the liquid additive com- partment. Clean all the parts with water. • Clean the dispenser re- cess with a brush. • Put back the dispenser in the recess. Drain pump Regularly examine the drain pump and make sure that it is clean.
1 2 8. Clean the filter under the water tap and put it back in the pump. Caution! Make sure that you tighten cor- rectly the filter to prevent leakages. 9. Close the drain pump door. Clean the inlet valve filter It could be necessary to clean the filter when: • The appliance does not fill with water.

Installation Unpacking 1 2 A 1. Use the gloves. With a scissor cut the straps and with a cutter remove the external film. Do not to discard the plastic cover (A). 2. Remove the polystyrene packaging materials. 3. Remove the internal film. 4. Open the door and remove all the items from the drum.
5. Put the front piece on the floor behind the appli- ance. Carefully put down the appliance with the rear side on it. Make sure not to damage the ho- ses. 1 2 6. Remove the polystyrene protection from the bot- tom. A 7. Install the plastic cover (A), removed from the top of the packaging, to the bottom of the appliance.
