28 En Connec tions ■ Connecting audio component s • Connect your turntable to the GND terminal of this unit to reduce noise in the signal. Howe ver , you may hear less noise withou t the connection to the GND terminal for some turntables. • The PHONO jacks are only compatible with a turntable with an MM or a high-output MC cartridge.

32 En Connec tions Both FM and AM indoor ante nnas are supplied with this unit. Connect each antenna correctly to the designated terminals. In general, these antennas should provide suff icient signal strength. • (Asia and General models only ) Be sure to set the tuner frequency step according to the frequency spacing in your area (see page 120).

Loud test tones are output from each speaker during the automatic setup procedure. Once all items are set, the result display appears in the OSD.
