4 Features of the Pr ojec tor The projector is equipped with a unique CB (color balance) filter that enhances the color reproduction of images. It is ideal for use in providing the optimum image ef fects for the projection en vironment when vie wing images such as games, sporting competitions and movies.

11 Basic Operations Adjusting the Screen Image Y ou can adjust the screen image in order to obtain the best possible picture. The size of the projected image is basically determined b y the dis tance from the pr ojector to the screen. (Refer to the S etu p Gu ide .
Adjusti ng the Screen Imag e 12 The lens shift function can be used to adjus t the position of projected images when the projector has been set up in places such as the follo wing.
13 Basic Operations Adjusting th e Scree n Image When you wish to adjust the projection abo ve or be lo w the range of lens shift adjustment set the projector at an angle. When the projector is angled, the projected image m ay distort into a trapezoid.
Adjusti ng the Screen Imag e 14 Y ou can project a test pattern at times such as when setting up th e projector in ord er to correct k eystone correction and to make line menu adjustments.
15 Basic Operations Adjus ting th e Screen Im age 4 Exit the pa tter n displ a y . Display the pattern select menu and then select "Exit". Press the b utton on the pro jector's control panel or the b utton on th e remote control. The full me nu c annot be disp lay ed while a test pattern is being pr ojecte d.
16 Adjusting the Image Quality The quality of the screen images can be adjusted as follo ws. 1 Press the [SE TTING] butt on on the projector's contr ol panel or the button on the remote control. An adjustment icon will be displayed over th e imag e du ring pro ject ion .
17 Basic Operations Adjust ing t he Im age Qua lity The brightnes s of the images can b e adjusted. When projecting in dark rooms or onto small screens and the images ap pear too bright, decrease the setting. 1 Press the [S ETTING] butt on on the projector's contr ol panel or the butt on on t he re mo te c on trol.
Adjusti ng the Image Q uality 18 The follo wing six picture mod es hav e been preset for u se with images with v arying characteristics. Use th e select menu to select a picture m ode that best suits the images . The default s ettings for each mode are gi ven belo w .
19 Basic Operations Adjust ing t he Im age Qua lity This sele cts the r atio b etween th e height a nd wi dth of th e projected im ages. If the input signal includes aspect ratio information, the pr ojector's automatic mode will detect this information and use it to automatica lly change the aspect ratio to the optimum rati o.

Y ou should clean the projector if it becomes dirty or if the quality of projected images starts to deteriorate. Clean the pro jector case by wiping it gently with a s oft cloth.
