Before Using the CP33 CP33 Owner’s Manual 8 Introduction Bef ore Using the CP33 1 Make sure that the instrument’ s [ST ANDBY/ON] s witch on the rear panel is at the ST ANDBY position. 2 Connect the supplied P A-3C power adaptor's DC cab le to the DC IN jac k (pa ge 14) on the instrument’ s rear panel.

Sustain P edal (Sustain P edal jac k) This jack is for connecting the included FC3 foot pedal. The pedal functions in the same way as a damper pedal on an acoustic piano.

Playing Voices CP33 Owner’s Manual 20 Ref erence [V ARIA TION] in Dual The [V ARIA TION] button ’ s indicator will light if the variation is engaged for either or both of the Dual V oices. While D ual is engaged, the [V ARIA TION] button can be used to turn the variation for both V oices on or off.

F or example, you can play a bass part using the W OOD BASS or E.BASS V oice with the left hand, and a melody with the right hand.

Using the Master Mode CP33 Owner’s Manual 26 Ref erence Using the Master Mode The Master mode allows y ou to divide the keyboard into two independent areas (called "Zones"). Each Z one can be assigned to different MIDI channels and have differ ent Control Slider functions.

Fine T uning of the Pitch This allows you to fine tune the pitch of the entir e instrument. This function is useful when you play the CP33 along with other instruments or CD music.

Backup Functions These allow you to back up some settings, such as V oice selection and Reverb type, so that they will not be lost when you turn off the power to the CP33.
