ACD1 Reference Manual 3 Intr oduction About the documentation This document explains mainly the operation and specifications of the A CD1 amplifier control de vice itself. When using the A CD1, y ou will also need to consult various manuals other than this document.
ACD1 Reference Manual 4 Introduction T erms This section explains terminology specific to the A CD1. ■ Amp Editor This is computer application software. W ith this software, you can use your computer to monitor and control the A CD1 and the amplifiers connected to the A CD1.
ACD1 Reference Manual 5 Contr ols and Connectors q Display This sho ws information about the scene, the A CD1 itself, or the connected amplifiers. This will light red when an abnormal- ity (a W ARNING or higher alert) occurs. This will also blink blue and white when the Identify operation is performed in Amp Editor.
ACD1 Reference Manual 6 Controls and Connectors y Ground scre w The A C power cord is a 3-wire type. If the A C outlet used is earthed (grounded), this de vice will be properly earthed as well. Also, grounding the scre w sometimes reduces hum and interference noise.

ACD1 Reference Manual 8 Panel operations The main roles of each b utton are as follo ws. As an example, we’ll explain how to stor e the scene of an amplifier connected to the A CD1.
ACD1 Reference Manual 9 Panel operations 5. Use the [ ▲ INC/YES] / [ ▼ DEC/NO] b uttons to select the ID of the amplifier f or which you want to stor e settings. 6. Press the [NEXT] b utton to move to the scene number . 7. Use the [ ▲ INC/YES] / [ ▼ DEC/NO] b uttons to select the scene number that y ou want to store.
ACD1 Reference Manual 10 Panel operations Here’ s how to r ecall or store scenes for a specified amplifier . ■ Recalling a scene (“1. Scene” ➝ “Recall”) Recalls a scene for the specified amplifier . • If you select “ALL ” as the Amp ID , the scene name will not be displayed.
ACD1 Reference Manual 11 Panel operations These settings allow y ou to control an amplifier connected to the A CD1. ■ Po wer on/standb y (“2. Amp Contr ol” ➝ “Standby”) Switches the po wer of the specified amplifier between On and Standby .
ACD1 Reference Manual 12 Panel operations This indicates the output lev el of the amp connected to the A CD1. ■ Amplifier output (“3. Output Monitor”) Displays the output le vel for each channel of the specified amplifier .
ACD1 Reference Manual 13 Panel operations ■ Identify (“4. Device Setup” ➝ “Identify”) Blinks the “Identify” icon of the corresponding A CD1 in Amp Editor. Here y ou can make overall settings f or the A CD1 and view various types of inf ormation.

ACD1 Reference Manual 16 Panel operations ■ GPI IN calibration (“5. Utility” ➝ “GPI Calibration”) Calibrates the detected range of the [GPI IN] connector input v oltage. Here y ou can make network settings f or the A CD1. ■ IP Address Mode setting (“6.
ACD1 Reference Manual 17 Panel operations ■ Po rt settings f or an external contr oller (“6. Network Setup” ➝ “IP Ctrl P or t #”) Here you can specify the port number that will be used to control the A CD1 from an external de vice such as an AMX or Crestron unit.
ACD1 Reference Manual 18 Connector wiring This section explains how to wir e the [GPI] and [F A UL T OUTPUT] connectors located on the A CD1’s r ear panel. Be sure to use the supplied Eur oblock connector . If you lose the connector , contact your Y amaha dealer .
ACD1 Reference Manual 19 Connector wiring Connect GPI (General Purpose Interface) de vices (e.g., contr ol- lers) to the rear panel [GPI] connector . Y ou can use GPI to send or r eceive contr ol signals to or from an external de vice. The A CD1 provides 4-port input and 4-port output.
ACD1 Reference Manual 20 Connector wiring Y ou can connect a lamp etc. to the r ear panel [F A UL T OUTPUT] connector to indicate that an abnormality has occurred. The [F A UL T OUTPUT] connector consists of NO (Normally Open), C (Common), and NC (Normally Closed).
