The C-Series Meter Display is an optional accesso ry for the C-Series Multifunction DC con trollers C35, C40 and C60. It provides a digital display of the voltag e, current, and amp-hour status for the C-Seri es Multifunction DC Con troller .

4 975-0123-01 -01 Rev A 3 F eatures The C-Series Meters have three features: • a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) to show cu rrent, voltage, amperage, resettable amp ho urs and total amp hours, • an Amp-h our Reset Button, wh ich is also used to illumin ate or dim the display , and • a Light Emitting Dio de (LED) to indicat e system status.
975-0123- 01-01 Rev A 5 The Liquid Crystal Disp lay (LCD) The LCD on the faceplate or remote provides the following information. The contrast of this display can be adjusted by a potentiometer located on the back on the unit. Th e potentiometer is a black, roun d knob on the circuit board next to the jumper pins.
6 975-0123-01 -01 Rev A Amp-Hour Reset and Backlight Button The amp-hour meter on th e faceplate or remote can be reset by two dif ferent method s. Automatic resetting occurs when the C-Series Multifunction DC Controller is first connected an d activated and each time it’ s disconnected from the battery or the meter cable.
975-0123- 01-01 Rev A 7 4 Installation The following sections describe how to instal l the C-Series Meter Display . They include detailed instruc tions for the fol lowing steps. 1. Jumper In stallatio n (S tep 1): Set the v oltage sett ing on the faceplate or remote to match the system voltage by installing the jumper over the appropriate pins.

10 975-0123-01 -01 Rev A Cable Installation (Step 2) Connect the display to th e controlle r using the serial communications cable provided. The cable is a six-condu ctor telephone cable wit h modular-type connectors (RJ-15).

12 975-0123-01 -01 Rev A T o connect the r emote: 1. Remove the front cover of the C-Series cont roller by removing the four screws on the front cover of the unit. 2. Route one end of the serial communications cable (SCC) through a knockout on the control ler .

Route one end of SCC through strain relief o n controller. Route the ot her end of the SCC to the RJ- 15 Port o n the back of the Remote.
14 975-0123-01 -01 Rev A Mounting the Remote (Step 3) The remote can be permanently in stalled in a wall or cabinet. The unit can also be flush-mo unted into a rect angular opening in a wall or surface-mounted u sing a doub le-gang, non-metallic o utlet box.

975-0123- 01-01 Rev A 17 5 Oper ation Status Indicator The multicolor LED indicates the ope rating status of the controller . A color -coded label is incl uded on the cover of the controller explain ing the status LED’ s ind ications. • When in Char ge Control mode, the LED wi ll be green.
18 975-0123-01 -01 Rev A Resetting the Amp-Hour Meter T o man ually reset the amp-hour meter , press and hold the push-button on the front of the meter until the display resets. The meter autom atically resets if po wer is disrupted (for example, DC cable is removed and replaced).

20 975-0123-01 -01 Rev A Xantrex covers both parts a nd labor necessary to repair the product, and return shipment to the customer via a Xantre x-selected non-expedi ted surface freight within the contiguous United States and Canada. Alaska and Hawaii are excluded.
