Operat ion 36 English Selectin g th e aspect rat io The 'aspect ratio' is the ratio of the imag e width to the image height. F or W703D, the defa ult aspect ratio is 16:9. M ost analog T V and com puters are in 4:3 ra tio, and digi tal T V and DVDs ar e usually in 16:9 ratio .
Operation 37 English 3. 4:3 : Scales an image so that it is dis played in the cent er of the scr e en with a 4:3 as pect ratio . This is most suitable for 4:3 images like c om puter monitors, standar d def inition TV and 4:3 imag es aspe ct DVD movies, as it displ ays them without aspec t alteration.

Lower settings produce less saturated colors; a setting of “0” r emoves that col or from the im age entirely .

Maintenance 57 English Repl acing the l amp • If lamp replacement is performed while the projector is suspended up side-down from the ceiling, make sure that no one is underneath the lamp socket to avoid any possible injur y or damage to the human eyes caused by fractured lamp.
