20 Using the projector English Fine-tuning the image size and clarit y Optimizi ng the image T o optimize the image, use the remote c ontrol or on-screen menus. For th e operation of on-screen menus, please refe r to pa ge 25 . The following steps are optional.
21 Using the projector English Y ou can change the projected image r atio (no matter what aspect the source is) by using the Aspect buttons on the remot e control or in the Display > Aspe ct Ra ti o OSD menu. Select an aspect ratio to suit the for mat of the video signal and your displa y requir ements.
22 Using the projector English 4. Other adjustments Y ou can adjust Brightness, Contrast, Color , and Tint settings using the Picture menu or w ith the remote control. Some picture adjustments are available only when certain input sources are in use. Unavailab le adjustments are not shown on the screen.
23 Using the projector English P ersonalizing the projecto r menu display The On Screen Display (OSD) menus can be set according to y our prefer ences. These settings do not affect the projection settings, operat ion, or performance. • Language in Setup menu sets your familiar language for the on-scr een menus.

25 Menus English Us i n g t h e m e n u s The projector is equipped with on-screen displa y (OSD) menus for making various adjustments and sett ings. There are eight different men u languages. See page 24 for more details. The following example describes the adjustment of the key stone.
26 Menus English Picture menu The Picture menu allo ws you to adjust the finer details of the projected image quality . Before making adjustments, you are suggested to c hoose a desired preset mode in this menu which has set some certain values in order to meet differ ent ligh ting enviro nment and presentation purposes.

Asp ec t Ra ti o : There are a few aspect ratios that can be selected for different video sig nals. See page 20 for details. 2. PIP G in V : Displays one input fr om the Graphic Gr oup with in one input from the V ideo Group .

The only thing you have to do on a regula r basis is keep the lens clean and clean or r eplace the air filt er . Never r emove an y par t s of the project or ex cept the lamp or the air filte r .

33 Additional information English Re p l ac in g t he la mp The lamp may be very hot. Allo w the projector to coo l for at least 45 minutes b efore replacing the lamp. This lamp contains mercury . Consult you r local hazardous waste regulations to d ispose of this lamp in a proper ma nner .

35 Additional information English T roubleshooting Problem Cause Remedy The projector does not turn on. There is no po wer from the power cable. Plug the po wer cable into the AC inlet on the rear of the projector , and plug the power cable into to the po wer outlet.
