Introduction 5 User’s Manual External Control Panel • The Infrared Remote Receiver (F ront and Rear) allows the projector to accept signals from the remote c ontrol. For best resu lts, be sure to aim the control toward the sensor without any obstructions between the two, and at a distance no greater than 6 meters.
Introduction 6 Benq Corporation Adjuster The projector is equipped with a qu ick-release adjuster foot and b utton for adjusting its tilt angle. 1. Lift the projector up a nd press the a djuster button to release t he adjuster. 2. The adjuster will drop into position and be locked.

Introduction 8 Benq Corporation FREEZE The image can be fro zen when FREEZE is press ed. A “Pause” icon will appear in the lower right corner of the s creen for three s econds. To release the freeze function, press the FREEZE button, RETURN button or SOURCE button (when the input source is switched over during display) again.
Introduction 9 User’s Manual Installing or Replacing Batteries • Push and slide the battery co mpartment lid in the direction shown. • Install a battery as indicated by the diagram inside the compartment. • Position the lid over the c ompartment and snap it back into place.

Operation 11 User’s Manual OPERATION Start Up 1. Plug the power cord into a wall socket. 2. Press POWER for 1 second. • The back-lit POWER key blinks green and stays green when the power is turned on. (When the power is turned off, there is a 60-second coolin g period before the projector can be re-starte d.
Operation 12 Benq Corporation Digital Keystone Correction Keystoning is when the projected image is noticeably wider on either the top or bottom. To correc t this, press KEYSTONE +/- (ho t key) on the control panel of the projector or on the remote control, then adjust the sliding bar labeled Keystone , as needed.

Operation 18 Benq Corporation Shutdown 1. Press POWER and a warning message will prompt up. To turn off the projector, Press POWER again. 2. The fan will continue to run for app roximately 60 seconds. 3. Disconnect the power co rd from the wall soc ket.
Maintenance 19 User’s Manual MAINTENANCE Lamp Information Use and Replacement of Lamp When the Lamp Indicator lights up re d or a message displays to suggest the time of l amp replacement, pl ease change a new lamp or consul t your dealer.An old lamp coul d cause a malfunction to the projector and may explode.
Maintenance 20 Benq Corporation 1. Press the POWER button to switch off the projector. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet and the projector. 2. Loosen the screw a nd remove the l amp cove r. If the lamp is hot, avoid burns by waiting 45 minutes until the lamp has cooled.
Maintenance 21 User’s Manual Caution To reduce the risk of severe burns, allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before repla cing the lamp. To reduce the risk of inju ries to fingers and damage to intern al components, use caution wh en removing lam p glass that has shat tered into sharp pieces.
