Note: Improperly preparing your enclosur e or incorrectly installing your WhisperKOOL unit may cause unit fail- ure, leaking of condensation, and other negativ e side eects.
P age 10 PT -EXPL 020111 Unobstructed Air ow Unobstructed air flow to and fr om the unit is a critical factor in the unit ’ s over all per formance. Make sure there is a thr ee -foot clearance in the front of the unit, as fans blo w down at an angle and should not be obstructed by racking.

P age 12 PT -EXPL 020111 C utting the Hole for the WhisperK OOL Unit T ools Needed Sizing the Unit to the Room Using a level and a pencil , mark a hor iz ontal line on the wall between the two studs, appr oximately 1.25” (or as close as possible if more than 1.
P age 13 Sheetrock alone cannot support the weight of a 65-pound (or more) cooling syst em. Therefore , it is necessary to frame the hole that you hav e just cut with upper and lower supports. Using two 2x4s at 14.5” in length and eight 6d nails, secure the upper and low er suppor ts to the right and left studs, just inside the sheetrock.

P age 15 Mounting Flange P ieces There ar e four individual pieces located in Kit 2 of your enclosed acc essor y kits. These ange pieces are de- signed to be used on the backside of the Extreme Series to mount to the exterior wall. There are three punch- outs located on the exterior of the housing.
P age 16 PT -EXPL 020111 Placement of Unit Slide the unit from either the inside or outside wall int o your wine cellar with the outer ange ush to the wall. Y ou will need to reverse the moun ting ange depending on inside or outside use. Secure the ange to the wall through the pre- drilled holes .
P age 17 Condensa tion Drain Line T ube The condensation drain line tube is used t o remove ex cess condensation from the unit to a pr oper discharge location. It is impor tant that the drain line tube is pr operly connec t ed and used to prevent leakage and other problems associated with e xcess condensation.
P age 18 PT -EXPL 020111 Exterior Grille Installation The exterior grille is required on all installa tions where the condenser side of the unit is exposed to the outside of the dwelling (i.e. r ain and weather). The C ondenser Grille must be removed.
P age 19 DUC TED INST ALLA TION Use ductwork to connect the unit to the supply and return outlets in the wine cellar . Use only insulated duct- work to minimize c ooling losses, prevent sw eating, and reduce noise .

This system inc or por ates the following advantages: 1. Self-Calibrating Pr obe: The probe contains a sensor chip , which ac tually c ommunicates back and forth to the thermostat.

The contr oller can be installed up to 50 feet away fr om the cooling unit, or up to 300 feet a way with the extend- ed connection wire.

P age 26 PT -EXPL 020111 V ARIABLE SPEED C ONTROL (only on the 8000ti) Designed for wine cellars fr om 1000 to 2000 cubic feet, the Extreme 8000ti fea tures variable -speed fans with a “high ” setting for maximum per f ormance in high-temperature (+110°F) en vironments and a “low ” setting for super-quiet operation.

The ER f eature is activated by press- ing the ER button one time, and the ER logo will appear on the dig ital display .
