Introduction 10 R emote c ontrol effectiv e range Infra-Red (IR) re mote control sensors are located on the front and the back of the projector . The remote control must be held at an ang le within 30 degrees of the proj ector’ s IR remote control sensors to function correctly .

The maximum (nati ve) resolution of the projector is 1024 x 768 pixels, which is a 4 to 3 aspect ratio (expressed as 4:3).

Operation 23 En ter in g t he pa sswo rd re ca l l pro ced ure Press and hold Right for 5 seconds. The p rojector will displa y a coded number on the screen.
Operat ion 24 A djusting the projected image A djusting the projection angle The projector is equipp ed with 1 quick- release adjuster foot and 1 rear adjuster foot. Thes e adjusters change t he image height and proj ection angle. T o adju st the project or: 1.
Operation 25 Optimizing the image T o optimize the image, use th e buttons on the projector o r remote c ontrol, the on-scr een menus. For the operation of on-screen menus, refer to "U sing the menus" on pag e 32 . The follo wing instructions are optional .
Operat ion 26 Selecting an ap plication mode The projec tor is preset wi th several pred efined application modes so that you can choose one t o suit your operat ing environment and input so urce picture type. T o select a operatio n mode that suits your need, press MODE .
Operation 27 Other adjustments If you are not satisfied with the picture quality made by the preset modes. Y ou can manually adjust some of the settings throug h the OSD menus.
Operat ion 28 white color with a low color te mperature appear s to be reddish whi te. A white co lor with a high color temper ature appears to have more blue in it.
Operation 29 Hid i ng t he i ma g e In order t o draw the audience ’ s full attention to t he presenter , you can use BLANK to hide the screen image. Press any key on the control panel to restore the image. The w ord ‘ BLANK ’ appears at the bottom rig ht corner of th e screen while the image i s hidden.
Operat ion 30 Shutting do w n the project or 1. Press Po w e r and a prompt message appear s as pictured to the right. If you don ’t want to tur n it off, wait a few seconds for the message to disappear . 2. Press Pow e r a second time to turn the pr ojector off.

Operat ion 32 U sing the menus The pr ojector is equ ipped with on-screen di splay (O SD) menus for mak ing various adjustments and settings. There are 17 different menu languages of your choice. See "4. Advance menu" on page 36 for more detail s.

C ontact your dealer for the c eiling mount bracket (optional accessory) if y ou need to in stall the pr ojector on y our ceiling.

Maintenance 38 M aintenance Care of the pr ojector Y our project or needs little main tenance. Th e only thing y ou need to do o n a regular basis is to k eep the lens clean. Nev er remov e any parts of the pr ojector ex cept the lamp . Contact y our dealer if other parts need re placing.
Maintenance 39 Lamp information Calculation of lamp hour Wh en the project or is in operation, the duration (by hour s) of lamp usage is automatically calcula ted by the bu ilt-in timer .
Maintenance 40 Rep la c i n g t h e l a m p • T o reduce the risk of electrical shock, al ways turn the projec tor off and disconnect the power co rd before chan ging the lam p. • T o reduce the risk of severe burns, allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before replacing the lamp.
Maintenance 41 11. Restart the projector . Do not turn the power on with the lamp cover removed. 12. Resetting the lamp c ounter Do not reset if the lamp is not replaced as this could cause damage. i. Press and hold the EXIT butto n on the project or for 5 sec onds to displa y the total used lamp time.
Maintenance 42 T emperature information When the T emper ature warning lig ht is on, it is warnin g you of the following possi ble problems. 1. The intern al temperature is too hig h. 2. The fan s are not working. T u rn the pr ojector off and c ontact qualified service personnel for further help.
