Introduction 14 Remote contr ol effective rang e Infra-Red (IR) r emote control sensor is located on the fr o n t and the rear of the projector . The remote control m ust be held at an angle within 30 degrees perpendicular to the pr ojector's IR remote contr ol sensor to function correctly .

Operation 22 Operation Star ting up the pr ojector 1. Remove the lens cap . 2. Plug the powe r cord into the pr ojector and into a wall socket. T urn on the wall sock et switch (where f itted). Check that the PO WER indicator light on the projector lights orange after power has b een applied.
Operation 23 Adjusting the pr ojected image Adjusting the pr ojection angle The projector is equipp ed with 1 quick-release adjuster foot and 1 rear adjuster foot. These adjusters change the ima ge height and projection angle. T o adjust the projector: 1.

Operation 25 Using the menus The projector is equipp ed with On-Screen Displa y (OSD) menus for making various adjustment s and settings. Below is the ov er view of the OSD menu. T o use the OSD menus, please set them to your familiar language first. 1.
Operation 26 Securing the pr ojector Using a security cable lock The projector has to be installed in a safe pl a ce to pr event theft. Otherwise, purchase a lock, such as a K ensington lock, to secure th e projector . Y ou can locate a K ensington lock slot on the left side of the projector .
Operation 27 If y ou forget the pass wor d If the passwor d function is activat ed, y ou will be asked to enter the fiv e-digit password e very time you turn on the projector .
Operation 28 6. Y ou ha ve successfully assigned a ne w password to the projector . Re member to enter the new passw ord next time the pr ojector is started.
Operation 29 Switching input signal The projector can be connected to multiple de vices at the same time . How ever , it can only displa y one full screen at a time . Be sure the Quick Auto Search function in the Source menu i s On (which is the default of this projector) if y ou want the pr ojector to automatically sear ch for the signals.
Operation 30 Magnifying and sear ching for details If you need to find th e details o n the projected picture, magnify the pictur e . Use the direction ar row k eys for na vigating the picture. • Using the r emote control 1. Press Digital Zoom+/ - to displa y the Zoom bar .
Operation 31 About the aspect ratio In the pictures below , the b lack portions are inactive ar eas and the white por tions ar e active ar eas. OSD menus can be displa yed on those unused black areas. 1. Auto : Scales an image proportionally to fit the pr ojector's native r esolution in its horizontal width.
Operation 32 Optimizing the image Using W a ll Color In the situation wher e you ar e projecting on to a color ed surface s uch as a painted wall which ma y not be white , the Wall Color f eature can help corr ect the projected pictur e’ s color to prev ent possible color difference betw een the source and pr ojected pictures.

Operation 35 Please ref er to the illustr ation to the right for how the colors relate to each other . For example, if you select Red and set i ts range at 0, only pur e red in the projected picture will be selected. Incr easing its range will include red close to yello w and red close to magenta.

Operation 37 Fr eezing the image Press FREE ZE on the r emote control to freeze the image. The word ' FREEZE ' will appear on the screen. T o release the function, pr ess any ke y on the projector or remote control.
Operation 38 Operating in a high altitude envir onment W e recommend y ou use the High Altitude Mode when your en vironment is betw een 1500 m –3000 m abov e sea lev el, and temperature is betw een 0°C–30°C. Do not use the High Altitude Mode if your altitude is between 0 m and 1500 m and temperature is betw een 0°C and 35°C .

Operation 40 Using the teaching templates The pr ojector provides several pr eset patterns for various teaching purposes. T o activate the pattern: 1. Open the OSD menu and go to the D isplay > T eaching T emplate and pr ess ▲ / ▼ to select Blackboard or Whiteboard .
Operation 41 Shutting down the pr ojector 1. Press PO WER or OFF and a confirmation message will appear pr ompting you . If you don't respond in a f ew seconds, the message will disappear .

Maintenance 53 Maintenance Car e of the pr ojector Y our projector needs little maintenance. The on ly thing y ou need to do on a regular basis is to keep th e lens clean. Nev er remov e an y par ts of the pr ojector except the lamp. Contact y our dealer if other parts need replacing.
Maintenance 54 Lamp information Getting to kno w the lamp hour When the projector is in operation, the durati on (in hours) of lamp usage is automatically calculated by the built-in timer .
Maintenance 55 Timing of r eplacing the lamp When the Lamp indicat or lights up red or a message a ppears suggesting it is time to replace the lamp , please install a ne w lam p or consult y our dealer . An old lamp ma y cause a malfunction in the pr ojector and in some instances the lam p ma y explode .
Maintenance 56 Replacing the lamp • If lamp replacement is performed while the projecto r is suspended upside-down fr om the ceiling, make sure that no one is underneath the lamp socket to a v oid an y possible injury or damage to the human ey es caused by fractured lamp .

Use the handle to slowly pull the lamp out of the projector . • Pulling it too quickly ma y cause the lamp to break and scatter brok en glass in the pr ojector .
