6 COOKTOP U SE Cooktop C on trols Contro l knobs must be pushed in befor e turning them t o a setting. The controls can be set anyw here between HI and LO.
7 ■ Determin e flatness by placing the stra ight edge of a ruler across the bottom of the cookware. While you rotate the ruler , no space or li ght should b e visible be tween it an d the cookware. ■ Cookwar e designed wit h slightly indented bottoms or small expa nsion channe ls can be used.
8 ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL Disp lay When power is first sup plied to the appliance, everythi ng on the displa y will l ight up for 1 to 2 seco nds, then the tim e of day an d “PF” will appe ar . Press OFF/CANCEL to clear “PF” from the displa y .
9 3. Press ST ART . If not pressed within 5 s e cond s, the disp lay will r eturn to the time of day mode an d the progra mmed func tion w ill be canceled. When the set time ends , end- of-cycle to nes will sound, th en, if on, r eminder ton es will sound every minute.
10 T raditional Cooking Convection Cooking BAKEWARE T o cook food evenly , hot a ir must be able to circulate. Allow 2" (5 cm) of space around ba keware and oven walls. Use the following chart as a guid e. Bakeware The bakeware material af fects cooking results.
11 Oven V ent The oven vent should not be blocked or covered, because it allows the rele ase of hot air an d moisture from the oven. Bloc king or covering th e oven vent will cause p oor air circulation, affecting cooking and clean ing results.
12 BROILING CHART For best res ul ts, place food 3" (7 cm ) or mor e from the broil element. Time s are guidelines on ly and may need t o be adjus ted for indi vidual foods and ta stes. It is recomme nded tha t food be turn ed approximatel y two-thi rds of the way through the tot al cooking time.
13 1. Press CONVECT BAKE. Press t he TEMP “up” or “down” arrow pads to enter a temperature other than 350°F (17 7°C). The convection bake range can be se t between 1 70°F and 500 °F (77°C and 260°C). 2. Press ST ART . A preheating time will count down on the di splay , and “PrE” will appear .

17 Oven L ight(s) The oven light is a standard 15-wa tt applian ce bulb. It wil l come on when the oven door is opene d. The light will n ot work during the Self -Cleaning cycl e (on some models). On some models, when the oven door is closed , press OVEN LIGHT to turn the li ght on or off.
