Operating instructions The drawings in this book may vary slightly from your washer model. They are designed to show the different features of all the models covered by this book. NOTE: Your model may not include all the features shown. Starting your washer Be sure to measure and add detergent, then place a sorted load in the washer before 1.
3. Select cycle and wash time Start the washer l Push in the Cycle Control Knob and turn it to the right. l Stop on the number in the wash cycle you want. The numbers are minutes of wash time. l Start the washer by pulling out the Cycle Control Knob. The washer will fill to the selected water level with the selected wash water temperature.
Operating Instructions Continued Regular/Heavy Cycle A cycle for sturdily constructed fabrics that are heavily soiled. Regular/Normal Cycle A cycle for regular loads of fabrics that are moderately soiled. to Selected Level The washer will proceed to Extra Rinse, if selected.
Permanent Press/Normal Cycle A cycle designed for moderately soiled permanent press and some synthetic fabrics. The cool-down rinse helps keep wrinkles from setting into these items. Permanent Press/Light Cycle A cycle designed for lightly soiled per- manent press and some synthetic fab- rics.
Operating Instructions Continued Knits Gentle/Normal Cycle (model LA9300XT) A cycle that gently washes and spins moderately soiled delicate items and washable knits. Knits Gentle/Light Cycle (model LA9300XT) Knits Gentle Cycle (model LA9100XT) A cycle that gently washes and spins lightly soiled delicate items and washable knits.
Soak Cycle Brief periods of agitation and soak time help remove heavy soils and certain stains that need extra pretreatment. Use recommended amount of detergent or pre-soak additive. The SOAK Cycle should always be followed by a wash cycle. Super Wash Cycle Use for washing heavily soiled loads that require maximum soil removal.
Other Operating Instructions Extra rinse option For an automatic extra rinse in the REGULAR Cycles: l Touch the Extra Rinse ON pad before a REGULAR Cycle starts. The ON indicator will show. The washer will automatically proceed into the extra rinse and spin after the REGULAR Cycle.
Soak cycle For best results, use warm water for soaking stained laundry. Hot water can set stains. 1. Use recommended amount of pre-soak product or detergent. 2. Push Cycle Control Knob in. 3. Turn clockwise to point to a number next to SOAK. 4. Pull the Cycle Control Knob out.
