8 If using a power s upply cor d: Use a UL li sted powe r supply cor d kit marked for use wi th clothes dryers . The kit should contain: ■ A UL listed 30-amp power sup ply cord, rated 120/240 volt minimum. The cor d should be type SRD or SRDT and b e at least 4 ft (1.

10 ■ Put po wer sup ply cor d thr ough the strai n r elie f. Be su re that th e wire insula tion on the p ower supply cord is insid e the strai n r elief. Th e strain relief shou ld have a tight fi t with the dryer cab inet and be in a h orizontal posi tion.
11 2. Remov e neut ral ground wi re from ext ern al ground cond uctor screw . Co nnect neut ral ground wi re and the n eutra l wire (white or c enter wir e) of powe r supply cor d under center , silver -colored terminal block screw . Tighten scr ew . 3.
12 3. Connect gr ound wi re (gr een or b are ) of dir ect wir e ca ble to external ground conductor s crew . Tighten scr ew . 4. Place the hooked ends of the other di r ect wire cable wi res under the outer termi nal block scr ews (hooks facing right).
13 When connect ing to the termin al block, place the h ooked end of the wire under the screw of the terminal block (hook facing right), squeeze hooked end together an d tighten sc rew , as shown . 1. Loosen or re move center silver -colored terminal block scr ew .

17 2. Firmly grasp the b ody of the dryer (not th e console pane l). Gently lay th e dry er on the car dboa rd . See illus tration. 3. Examine the l eveling legs . Find the diamon d marking. 4. Screw the legs in to the leg holes by hand. Use a wrench to finis h turning th e legs until the dia mond ma rking i s no lon ger visibl e.

19 ■ Pr ess a nd hol d ST ART bu tton un til d ryer sta rts ( about 1 second). Once an Automatic cycle h as started, the WRINKLE SHIE LD ™ feature and cycl e signals can be ad justed. Press the P AUS E/CANCEL key twic e to stop t he dryer and clear the settings, allowing y ou to select an other cycle and Dryness Level .
20 ■ Remove the load from the dryer as soon as tumbli ng stops to reduce wrinkli ng. This is esp ecially imp ortant for perman ent press, knits and synthe tic fabrics . ■ Av oid dryin g heavy work clothes wi th ligh ter fabric s. This could cause overdrying of li ghter fabrics, lead ing to increased shrinkin g or wr inkling.
21 Damp Dry Use this cycle to dry items to a damp lev el using Low heat. Damp dry items such as jeans (to av oid stiffness) or cotton clothing (to make ironing easier). The temperature setting on this cy cle cannot b e adjusted . Items wi ll have d ifferent levels of dampness .
22 ■ For the Casual Cyc le, the WRIN KLE SHIELD ™ featu re is preset to “ ON. ” The other cycl es will reta in the WRINKLE SHIE LD ™ feat ur e se ttin g. (F or exam ple, if y ou s elect th e WRINKL E SHIE LD ™ feature in th e Normal cycle, the WRINKL E SHIE LD ™ featur e will be on th e next time you sele ct th e N orma l cy cle.
23 Drying R ack Option The dry ing rack is usefu l for dryi ng items you would not necessa rily want to tumble dry or tha t you would norma lly li ne dry (for example, s weaters). If your model do es not hav e a dry ing rack , you may be ab le to purchas e one for you r mod el.
24 IMPORT AN T : ■ Do not run the drye r with the lint screen loose, damaged, blocked, or missing. Doing so can cause overheating and damage to both th e dryer and fabrics . ■ If lint fall s off the screen into the dryer durin g removal, check the exhau st hood and remove the li nt.
