4 BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT • Your new appliance is de signed exclusiv ely for domestic use To get the most out of your new appliance, read the user handbook thoro u ghly. The handbook contains a description of the appliance and useful tips for storing food.
5 PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS • Use the refrigerator compartment only for storing fresh food and beverages an d use the freezer compartment only for storing frozen food, freezing fresh food and making ice cubes. • After installation, ma ke sure that the appliance is not standi ng on the power supply cable.
6 CONTROL PANEL DESCRIPTION The control Panel is located at the top front of the refrigerator compartment. T emperature Controls For your convenience, your temperat ure controls are pr eset at the factory. When y ou first install your refrigerator, ma ke sure the controls are still set to the re commended set points as shown.
7 Fast Cooling & Fast Freezing The Fast Cooling & Fast Freezi ng feature a ssists with periods of high refrigerator use, full grocery loads, or temp orarily warm room temperatures. • Press the Fast Cooling & F ast Freezing touch pad to set the freezer and refrigerator to the lowest temperature settings.
8 W ater Dispenser (select models) If you did not flush the water system when the r efrigerator was first installed, dispense water into a container until you draw and discard 2 to 3 L (8 to 12 gal.) or for approxim ately 6 to 7 minutes after the water begins dispensing.
9 USE OF ICE MAKER AND WATER DISPENSER Automatic Ice Maker Connect the ice maker to the water supply as instruct ed. Proper water flow and a level refrigerat or are essential for optimal ice maker performance. Ice Maker Operation • To turn ice maker On push ar m down from locked position.
10 WATER FILTER (SELECT MODELS) W ater Filter Removal an d Installation If your appliance must be connected to the mains water supply to operate the water dispense r and/or ice maker, it must be a w ater supply which delivers potable wate r only. Ice makers not connected to a mains water supply must be filled with potable water only.
11 GUIDE TO INTERNAL COMPONENTS Shelves • Never attempt to adjus t a shel f that is loaded with food (except in the case of the lift shelf). • Confirm shelf is secure before placing i tems on shelf. Your refrigerator has either spill guard glass shelf or non- sealed Shelves .
12 To Install: • Reverse the removal procedu re. Be sure the she lf is in a level position. • When the sliding shelf is pushed to the rear, it will reposi tion the rear latches to their correct operating position. The Crisper Top serves as the low er fresh food shelf.
13 P arty chiller (select models) The party chiller keeps beverages and other items cooler than the rest of the fresh food se ction. A cold air in let allows ai r from the freezer section to pass into the beve rage chiller. The party chiller c ontrol is located on the left wal l of the fresh food compartment.
14 Notes • Cold air directed to the draw er can decrease refrigerator temperature. Refrigerator con trol may need to be adjusted. • Do not place leafy vegetables in the drawer. Colder temperatures coul d damage leafy produc e. To Remove Drawer: • Lift lid.
15 Wire Basket (select models) To Remove: • Pull basket out to full extension. Tilt up front of basket and pull straight out. To Install: • Insert basket into freezer l iner rails and push back into place. Freezer Door Shelf (select models) The Freezer Door Shelf provides convenient storage for frozen food items in freezer door.
16 GUIDE TO STORAGE AND THAWING OF FOOD The freezer compartment, marked wi th the symbol , is used for storing frozen food and f reezing fresh or cooked food. The maximum quantity of food which c an be frozen in a 24 hour period, at an ambient temperature of 25°C, is stated on the rating plate, inside the refrigerator compartment.
17 FOOD STORAGE CHART Storage time will v ary accord ing to the quality of the food, the type of packaging or wrap used (moist ure and vapour proof), and the storage temp erature (which should be -18°C).
18 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Before any cleaning or maintenanc e operation, unplug the appliance from the mains or disconnect the electrical power supply. Periodically cl ean the refrigerator and fr eezer comp artments with a cloth and a solution of luke warm water and neutral detergent specific ally for refrigerator interi ors.

21 INSTALLATION Your new appliance is a FULL NO FROST model exclusively for domestic use, i.e. both refr igerator and free zer compartments are provided with an auto matic defrosting function.
22 DOOR AND DRAWER REMOVAL Some installatio ns require door /d rawer removal to transport the refrigerator to its final l ocation. Disconnect power to refrigera tor before removing doors or drawer. Connect power only afte r replacing doors or drawer. Door remov al To Remove: 1.
23 Drawer Removal To avoid possible injury, product, or property damage, you will need two people to perform the following instr uctions. To Remove: 1. Pull drawer open to full extens ion. 2. Pull upper basket out to full extension and lift out to remove.
24 Leveling • Do not use power tools when pe rforming leveling procedure. • To enhance the appearance an d maintain performance, the refrigerator should be l evel. (side to side) Note Complete any required door rev ers al, panel installation and/or a water supply connection, before leveling.
25 Handles If not installed, the handle is located in the interior of the fresh food section or attached to th e back of your refrigerator. Remove and discard hand le packaging and tape. Handle design varies from re frigerator to refrigerator. Please reference the appropriate instructions for your model below.
26 Freezer Handles Partial-Width Handle Materials Needed • Phillips screw driver To Install: 1. Install handle by fastening with screws removed from edge of door. • If reversing freezer door, remove door plugs from top edge of door and insert into screw holes.
27 Front Mount F reezer Hand le Materials Needed • Gloves to protect hands. • Phillips screw driver. • Plastic handle removal card (or 0.1 cm thick plastic card). Retain the card. Notes • There is a slight curve to th is style of freezer handle.
28 WATER CONNECTION Opening and Closing Y our Fresh Food Doors (select models) Your new refrigerator is uniquel y designed with two fresh food doors. Either door can be open ed or closed independently of one another. There is a vertically-hinged section on the left fresh food door.
29 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Regulations require that the appliance is earthed. The manufacturer de clines all liabi lity for injury to persons or a nimals and for damage to property result ing from failure to observe the prescriptions.
