Pen display components page 7 PEN DISPLAY COMPONENTS The LCD monitor and tablet sensor function as an integ rated input and output de vice. The LCD monitor suppor ts resolutions up to 1024 x 768 pixels at 16.2 million colors . The tablet sensor reports pen coordinates, pressure , and switch inf or mation.

Installation page 10 Step 1: LCD monitor installation In the first stage of the installation process, the DTF-521/PL-521 is installed as a monitor on y our system. As you work through the first stage of the installation process, please ref er to the LCD monitor cabling diag ram on the f ollowing page when making cab le connections.

Any changes you mak e will take eff ect immediately , but y ou can alwa ys click D EFAULT to return to the factory settings.
Customizing page 20 Calibrating y our pen display Y ou will need to calibrate the DTF-521/PL-521 pen displa y tablet in order to align the screen cursor position with the position of the pen on the displa y screen. This is required to adjust f or parallax caused by the acrylic display screen co ver and coating.
Customizing page 21 Contr ol panel details Adjusting double-c lick Double-clic king with the pen tip can be made easier by e xpanding the tap area that accepts a double- click (the doub le-click distance), or b y using the pen’ s side switch to automatically doub le-click when pressed.

Troubleshooting page 29 TROUBLESHOOTING Most of the time your pen displa y tablet will work flawlessly . But if you are ha ving trouble , Wacom recommends you do the f ollowing: 1. If the DTF-521/PL-521 pen displa y does not function properly , refer to the troub leshooting section below .

When a still image is displa yed f or a long period of time without refreshing the screen, an after- image remains f or a shor t per iod of time.

Appendix page 41 Using an alternate mount or stand If you will be using the DTF-521/PL-521 pen displa y in an installation that requires the use of an alternate mounting platform, you can remo ve the adjustab le stand from the unit and mount the pen displa y onto any mount arm or stand conforming to the VESA 75 standard.
