16 5 Operating the appliance 5.1 Residual heat indicator The frying zones are all ope rated in the same way. When the appli ance is switched off, all th e displays are da rk (stand-by mode), except for the residual heat indica tor should any frying zone stil l be hot.
5 Operating the appliance 17 5.4 Overview of fr ying temperatures 5.5 Switching the frying zone off ➤ Press on th e slider. – If no other entry is made and the other fryi ng zone is switched off, the appliance switches off after 10 seconds.

5 Operating the appliance 21 5.9 T imer The timer functions like an egg timer (1 min. – 9 hr 59 mins.). It can be used at any time and independently of all other functions. Setting t he timer ➤ Switch the appliance on. ➤ Press the touch button. – flashes in the display.

5 Operating the appliance 23 5.11 Wipe protection This function prevents the frying temperature from being changed accidentally, for insta nce when wipi ng the control panel with a cloth. ➤ Press the touch button. – The indicator light for the touch button illuminates.
24 6 User settings The following user settings can be s et and stored individually. * When the operating time or timer is up or when error messages appear, an acoustic signal is emitted at th e level of loudne ss set in P0.

26 7 Care and maintenance 7.1 Cleaning Always clean the frying zone after us e. This prevents f ood residue from burning on. Dried-on or burned-on food residue is h arder to clean off. Use of improper cleaning te chniques can result in damage to the marki ngs or surface.
