OM-HY-5G 4 Equipment Descri ption Your Groen HY-5G or (2)HY-5G HyPerSteam Convection Steam er is designed to give years of service. It has a stainless s teel cavity (cooking cham ber) which is s erved by an independent atmos pheric st eam generator which is gas-heated.

OM-HY-5G 7 After the unit has been connected to the gas supply, all gas joints m ust be chec ked f or leak s. No flame should be used when checking for leaks.
OM-HY-5G 8 D. Drain Connec tion Steamer s m ust be leveled fr ont to back , or pitched to the rear ( max imum ¼ inch) by adjusting the bullet f eet on the stand. A 2 inch ID hose m ay be attached to the unit drain. It m ust be rated f or very hot w ater.
OM-HY-5G 9 Initial Sta rt-Up After the HY-5G Steam er has been installed, test it to ensure that the unit is oper ating correc tly . 1. Rem ove all literature and pack ing m aterials from the interior and ex terior of the unit. 2. Make s ure the water supply line is open.

OM-HY-5G 11 The tim er is used in three way s : 1 In the OFF pos ition the steam generator stays at a low boil or “holding” tem perature. 2 W hen a cook time is set, the unit steam s until the timer runs down to OFF. At that time s team ing stops, a red light c omes on and a beeper sounds.
