[30] GETTING START ED www.uniden.com Setting CIDCW (Cal ler ID on Call W aiting) Caller ID on Call W aiting (CIDCW) disp lays the nam e and n umber of an incoming call while yo u are on the line . Call Waiting Deluxe (CWDX) allows y ou to ha ndle call waitin g calls in seven differ en t w ays.
GETTING STAR TED [31] www.uniden.com Setting the Dial Mode Sets the dial mod e to tone or puls e . Most phon e systems use tone dialing; th e def ault setting is tone dialin g. Set the dialin g mode to match the di aling system used by your local phone service .

Y ou will usually on ly der egister the handset if you are having a problem with your phone or if you need to change the di gital se curity code .

If you pass the r ang e limits o f the base unit, you will hear a beep and see Out of Range on the display , and th en the han dset return s to standby m ode .
BASICS [41] www.uniden.com Confere ncing Once a call is i n progress, up to two addition al people can join i n as a conference call. A conference call consists of a calle r on an outside line , up to two parties on handsets, and up to one party on the base un it.
[42] PHONEBOOK www.uniden.com Phonebook (S toring Phone Numbers, Names, Distinctive Rings and Speed Dial) Y ou can store nam es and numbers in your phon e's phonebook, search for n am es alphabetically , and dial phonebook entri es with just a few key presses.

When the teleph one rings , the Caller ID feature allows you to view the caller’s nam e , phon e number , date and time of call.
