8 3 Setting Up Y our Lawn T ractor W ARNING Use extre me care wh en handling gasoline. Gasoline is ext remely flammabl e and the vapors are explosive. Never fuel machine indoors or while t he en - gine is hot or running. Ex tinguish cigaret tes, cigars, p ipes, an d other sources of ignition .
9 Attaching The Steering Wheel If the steer ing wheel for your trac tor did n ot come att ached, t he hardware for at tachin g it has bee n packed within t he steerin g wheel, bene ath the steer ing wheel cap. Carefully pr y of f the s teering whee l cap and r emove the hard ware.

13 4 Operating Y our Lawn T ractor Driving The T ractor W ARNI NG : A void sudden starts, ex - cessive speed and sudden stops. W ARNI NG : Do not leav e the seat of the tractor witho ut first plac- ing the PTO ( Blade Engage ) lev er in the disengaged ( OFF) posi- tion, depressing the brake pedal and engagin g the parking brake.

The bel t on your tractor is s ubjec t to wear and shoul d be replac ed if any sign s of wear are present.
