5 OPERA TION Before using Remove all securing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
6 Making ice cubes The appliance is provided with one or more plastic ice cube trays. Fill the tray(s) 3/4 full to give the ice space to expand and place them in one of the freezer compartment. T o release the ice cubes simply give the tray a slightl twist.
7 Movable shelves The walls of the refrigerator have runners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired . Positioning the door shelves T o permit storage of food packages of various sizes, the door shelves can be adjusted in height.
8 HINTS AND TIPS Normal Operating Sounds ¥ Y ou may hear faint gurgling or bubbling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear , to the cooling plate/evaporator . ¥ When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped round, and you will hear a whirring sound or pulsating noise from the compressor .
Defrosting Refrigerator The refrigerator automatically defrosts every time the compressor stops. The water is discharged, via the pipe, into a tray located at the back of the appliance above the compressor , where it evaporates.
10 SOMETHING NOT WORKING Important: If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below , or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation a charge will be made, even if the appliance is under guarantee.
11 During a normal night time period of approximately 8 hours a traditional fridge freezer can normally maintain the frozen food temperature but if the appliance is left for longer period in a low ambient the freezer will defrost . If, after the above checks, there is still a fault, call your local Service Force Centre.
