Power On and O ff the eBook Player Pres s and hold the [Pow er] but ton f or 2 sec onds to turn o n the eBook Playe r . It may t ak e a f ew mom ents f or the eBoo k Play er to turn o n and loa ding the con ten t. If the eBoo k Player does not tu rn on, ch arging is req uired.
Inserting M emory Card The eBook Player supports S D/SDHC/MMC card. To insert a memory card: Open the S D cover. Check that t he SD card is in the correct position with the contact pi n facing upwards as illustrated below. You may damage the card and the eBook Pla yer if SD card is no t inserted i n correct positi on.
Starting from Home Me nu Wh en the eB ook Player is tu rn ed on, you wi ll enter into the Hom e Menu. Li brary B attery Indic ator Page N umber Ti me & Date 1. 1. Conti nue Reading 2. -displ ay the page of the last read book. Pre ss <OK> button to ope n the last read page.
Entering Opti on Menu To access extra functi ons avail able, press [Menu] butto n to di splay the Option Menu a s illustrated. Press the dire ctional ke y to move cursor to the de sired item . The selected item wil l be highlighted in dark. Press <OK> to enter.
Importing Co ntent The eBook Player supports the USB Mas s Storage Devi ce function. To import contents ( eBoo ks, video (only eBook Player 7M), audio, photo, etc.
Authorizing PC a nd eBook Player Upon registration, return to the ADE window. Enter the username and password to a ctivate your A dobe ® account . After activatio n, connect the eBook Player to PC. ADE will detect the eBook Pla yer and you are prom pted to au thorize devi ce.
Each A DE ID s upports only 6 dev ices; this includes the master dev ice (the eBook Pla yer) and the slav e device (m icroSD card). When the eBook Player is restored to de fault setting s, ALL DRM activation record and data (including DRM books purchased) will be erased from the eBook Playe r.
Opening Book Books transferre d to the eBoo k Player will be li sted in Home Menu. The eBook Player supports eB ooks in ep ub, pdf, txt form at. Use the < Di re ctional> buttons to m ove the cursor to select book and press <OK> to ope n.
Adjusting F ont Size In reading pa ge, press < Zoom> button to enter the font si ze menu. There a 5 font sizes avai lable: Small, Medi um, Large, XLar ge, XXLar ge. Move the cur sor to the desired font size then press < OK> to confirm . It may take some time fo r the fonts to be resized.
Using Optio n Menu in R eading In Reading pa ge, press <Men u> button t o enter Option Me nu. Options avail able: 1. Add / Delete Bookmark 2. Bookmar ks 3. Go to Pa ge 4. Music 5. Auto fl ip 6. Book Informat ion 7. Rotate 8. Display Set tings 9.
Read fr om B ookmarks in Home Menu From Home Me nu, press < Menu> and select [Boo kmarks] to ente r Bookmark L ist. In the Bookmark List, move the c ursor to the desired bookmark, press <OK> to open. To delete bo okmark from the Bookma rk List, p ress <Menu> to display [Option Menu] and sele ct [Delete] to confirm.
Auto Flip You can s et the eBook Player to [Auto Fl ip] mode. The auto f lip durations availabl e are: 5s, 10s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 5 0s, 1 mi n. Book Informati on You can check the information of the current book from the [Book Information] option. This will show: Title, Autho r, Publisher, File type, Date , File size, Publisher and Expiration.
In landscape view, the Option Menu i s divided into 2 pages. To access options in the second page, move the cursor to [More>] icon at the top right corner of the Option Me nu and th en enter To ret.
Background musi c playback while readi ng an eBook The eBook Player supports ba ckground music playing whe n readin g books or viewi ng photos . To control music playback in book page, press <Music (Play/Pause) > button and a mini music player cont rol bar will appear at the bottom of the page.
Music Play er From Home Me nu, press < Menu> to displ ay Option Menu. Move the cur sor to [Musi c] and press < OK> to confirm. In the Musi c player, press < OK> to play/ pause musi c.
Note: The movie/video function is only available for the model: eBook Player 7M. From Home Menu, open Option menu and select and enter into the v ideo library. In video l ibrary move the cursor to your desi red video fi le and pre ss <OK> to start playing.
Note: Please organize the pictures into a spe cific folder for easier navigation. From Home Me nu, press < Menu> to displ ay Option Menu. Move the cur sor to [Photo] and press < OK> to confi rm. Use the <Di rectional> button s to naviga te through the files/folde rs.
From Home m enu, press < Menu> [Ex plorer] Press <L eft> / <Right> to select Internal / SD card memory an d pre ss [OK] to enter. Press <Return> to exit from current dire ctory and the cursor will move to the top f or memory sel ection.
From Home Me nu, press <Menu> to displ ay Option Menu. Move the cur sor to [Setti ngs] and pre ss <OK> to confi rm. Time & Dat e To set the clo ck and date of the eBook Pl ayer: Press <Dire ctional Le ft/Right> buttons t o move the cursor.
If the eBoo k Player does not work as it is e xpected, please try the following steps. The eBook Player is not res ponding or c an’t be turned on. Reset the eBook P layer by press and hold the power button for 6 seconds. T he eBook Player will be force d to s hutdo wn if it is on and you are required to restart the eBook Pl ayer again.
On Batter y Charge the batt ery onl y in temperature that ranges from 0 to 35 degree Celsius. Do not charge the eB ook Player if the battery is found damaged or le aking. On Operation Never expose the eBook Player to extre mes of light, te mperature , moisture or v ibration.
On SD/SDHC/M MC card After i nserted a SD/SDH C/MMC ca rd, if the eBook Pla yer has no response, ple ase take o ut and insert it a gain. Do not remove SD/SDHC/M MC card or turn off reader during data writing or readi ng to prevent damage to data and to the eBook Player.
