18-HD64D1-1 5 T emperature Sensing Considerations Wireless Reception Considerations Removing Sub-Base W all Plate The thermostat sensor is designed for installation in climate controlled living spaces. It is recom- mended to place the sensor in central locations with good circulation.
6 18-HD64D1-1 Mounting Sub-Base to Wall Be sure wires are routed through the center of the base plate and are long enough to connect to ter- minals. Select and mark three holes. NO TE: The three hole locations indicated at right are recommended. The top location is an optional mounting screw location.

18-HD64D1-1 9 Communicating Equipment Discov er y mode begins when the ther mostat is first installed and power is connected. F or communicating equip- ment, the ther mostat automatically configures standard equipment parameters .
10 18-HD64D1-1 Enter the Installer’ s Setup screen by na vigating to: Home screen --> Menu --> Service --> T echnician Access --> Proceed* --> Installer Setup *NO TE: Press and hold the “T echnician Access” button f or 5 seconds to enter the Installer Setup screen.

ALL settings and data will be lost. “Reset Adv anced Settings” resets the Adv anced Settings which were configured in the Installer Menu (settings such as system lock outs, accessories, air flow and comf or t options).

Set the desired temper- ature f or the three status modes (Home, A wa y & Sleep). The ther mostat will remain in the selected mode until another mode is selected or the program reaches a ne w schedule per iod.
14 18-HD64D1-1 Feature Description Cycle Rate The cycle rate aff ects the cycle time of the system. With a 50% load value, a cycle rate of 3 will allow the system to run f or 10 minutes and be off f or 10 minutes; completing 3 cycles in one hour . A cycle rate of 5 would allo w the system to cycle on and off at 6 minute intervals.

Cycle counts and r un time can be view ed f or first stage and second stage compressor operation, W1 & W2 heating and defrost cycles . This inf or mation can be view ed in a 24 hour , 1 week or 2 week period.
16 18-HD64D1-1 Feature Description Runtime Histor y The Histor y Runtime screen provides inf or mation on system run time in compar ison to the indoor and outdoor temperatures (a ver age indoor along with the high & low outdoor temps). This histor y can be view ed on a weekly or monthly basis.
