9 English Getting Started Connecting the Projector Note: To ensure the projector works well with your computer, please make sure the timi ng of the display mode i s compatible with the projector. Note: "*" USB drive limitatio n, do not support power co nsumption over 500mA.

11 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning on the Projector 1 Remove the lens cap.(Illustration #1) 2 Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely co nnected. The Power indicator LED will flash red. 3 Turn on the projecto r by pressi ng " Power " button on the control panel, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue.
12 English Turning the projector off 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears: "Please press the power button again to complete the shutdown process.
13 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of Projected Im age The projector is equipped with ele vator feet for adjusting the height of image. To raise/lower the image: 1 Raise the image to the desired height angle (Illu stration #1), then pull out the stand feet into position.
14 English How to optimize image size and distance Consult the table below to find the optimal im age sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a de sired di stance from the screen. Example: If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 65" and 99".

16 English How to get a preferred image size by adjusting distance and zoom The table below shows how to achieve a desired image size b y adjusting either the position or the zoom ring. For example: to obtain an image size of 50" set the projector at a distance 1.

18 English How to get a preferred im age position by adjusting lens shift The projector is equipped with len s shi ft for adjusting the po sition of projected image right and left or up and down wi thout requiring you to physically move the projector.
19 English Adjusting the horizontal or vertical image position The vertical image height can be adjusted b etween -5% and 20% of the image height. (The minimum vertical image offset is fixed at -5% of the image height above the cent re of the proj ector lens.

21 English User Controls Installation menu The installation menu provides an on screen display (OSD) for projector installation and maintenance. Use the OSD o nly when the message "No signal input" is displayed on the screen.

23 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multilingual OSD that allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the remote control or control panel.
24 English Color Display Mode There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: For brig htness optimizati on. • Presentation: For meeting presentation. • Standard: For common environment. • Video: For playing vid eo in a bright environm ent.
25 English Note: "Saturation" a nd "Tint" functions a re not supported under computer or HDMI mode. Image Tint Adjusts the color balance of red and green. • Press to increase the amount of green in the imag e. • Press to i ncrease the amount of red in the image.

27 English Management Setting ECO Mode Choose "On" to dim the pro jector lamp which will lower p ower consumption, extend the lam p life and reduce noise. Cho ose "Off" to return n ormal mode. High Altitude Choose "On" to turn on High Altitude mode.
28 English Startup Scree n Use this func tion to sel ect your desir ed startup screen. If you change the setting, the changes will take effect when you exit the OSD menu. • Acer: The default startup screen of your Acer proje ctor. • User: Use memorize picture from "Screen Capture" function.

37 English Cleaning and replacing the dust filters Cleaning the dust filters Clean the dust filters after every 1000 hours of use. If they are note cleaned periodically, they can become clogged with dust, preventing proper ventilatio n. This can cause overheating and da mage the projector.
38 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, and then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life. You will be shown a warning message " Lamp is approach ing the end of its usefu l life in full power operation.
39 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included.
40 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommende d that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
