– 3 – Original instruction Please read carefully through these instructions that contain impor tant inf or mation which complies with the “Machiner y” Directive (Directiv e 2006/42/EC), and ensure that you understand them.
– 4 – Definition of Pr otective Gear When the air conditioner is to be transpor ted, installed, maintained, repaired or remov ed, wear protectiv e glov es and ‘safety’ work clothing. In addition to such nor mal protectiv e gear , wear the protectiv e gear descr ibed below when under taking the special work detailed in the table below .
– 5 – W arning Indications on the Air Conditioner Unit [Confirmation of warning label on the main unit] Confir m that labels are indicated on the specified positions If removing the label during par ts replace, stick it as the original.
– 6 – Precaution f or Safety W ARNING General Bef ore star ting to repair the air conditioner , read carefully through the Ser vice Manual, and repair the air conditioner by f ollowing its instructions. Only qualified ser vice person ( ∗ 1) is allowed to repair the air conditioner .
– 7 – Ex ecute discharge between terminals. Prohibition Sta y on protection Ev en if the circuit breaker has been set to the OFF position bef ore the ser vice panel is remov ed and the electrical par ts are repaired, you will still risk receiving an electric shock.
– 8 – Refrigerant Assembly/ Cabling Insulator check V entilation Compulsion The refrigerant used by this air conditioner is the R410A. Check the used refrigerant name and use tools and materials of the par ts which match with it.
– 9 – Check after repair Do not operate the unit with the valv e closed. Check after reinstallation Cooling check Installation Once the repair work has been completed, check f or refrigerant leaks, and chec k the insulation resistance and water drainage .
– 10 – Explanations given to user • If y ou hav e discov ered that the fan grille is damaged, do not approach the outdoor unit b ut set the circuit breaker to the OFF position, and contact a qualified ser vice person to hav e the repairs done. Do not set the circuit breaker to the ON position until the repairs are completed.
– 11 – Ne w Refrig erant (R410A) This air conditioner adopts a new HFC type refrigerant (R410A) which does not deplete the oz one lay e r . 1 . Safety Caution Concerned to Ne w Refrig erant The pressure of R410A is high 1.6 times of that of the f or mer refrigerant (R22).
