– 3 – Original instruction Please read carefully through these instructions that contain impor tant inf or mation which complies with the “Machiner y” Directive (Directiv e 2006/42/EC), and ensure that you understand them.
– 4 – Definition of Pr otective Gear When the air conditioner is to be transpor ted, installed, maintained, repaired or remov ed, wear protectiv e glov es and ‘safety’ work clothing. In addition to such normal protective gear , wear the protective gear described below when under taking the special work detailed in the table below .
– 5 – W arning Indications on the Air Conditioner Unit [Confirmation of warning label on the main unit] Confir m that labels are indicated on the specified positions If removing the label during par ts replace, stic k it as the or iginal.
– 6 – Precaution f or Safety The manuf acturer shall not assume any liability f or the damage caused by not obser ving the description of this manual. D ANGER Before carrying out the installation, maintenance, repair or remov al wor k, be sure to set the circuit break er to the OFF position.
– 7 – W ARNING General The appliance shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations. Capacity shor tages of the power circuit or an incomplete installation ma y cause an electr ic shock or fire .
– 8 – Refrigerant The refrigerant used by this air conditioner is the R410A. Check the used refrigerant name and use tools and materials of the par ts which match with it. F or the products which use R410A refr igerant, the refrigerant name is indicated at a position on the outdoor unit where is easy to see.
– 9 – Check after repair Once the repair work has been completed, check f or refr igerant leaks, and chec k the insulation resistance and water dr ainage. Then perform a tr ial run to check that the air conditioner is r unning properly . After repair work has finished, check there is no troub le.
– 10 – Explanations given to user • If y ou hav e discovered that the f an grille is damaged, do not approach the outdoor unit but set the circuit breaker to the OFF position, and contact a qualified ser vice person to hav e the repairs done. Do not set the circuit breaker to the ON position until the repairs are completed.
– 11 – Ne w Refrig erant (R410A) This air conditioner adopts a new HFC type refrigerant (R410A) which does not deplete the ozone la yer . 1 . Safety Caution Concerned to Ne w Refrigerant The pressure of R410A is high 1.6 times of that of the f or mer refrigerant (R22).
