1 PREFACE ABOUT THIS GUIDE This manual is a setup and maintenance guide that can be us ed for reference when set ting up the NVR unit and f or troubleshooti ng when a problem occurs.

10 IDENTIFYING INCLUDED COMPONENTS Surveillix™ NVRs come with a mou se, keyboard and selected software and cables. Ident ify the following c omponents to mak e sure everything has b een properly i ncluded with yo ur new NVR unit. If a ny of the f ollowing items are missing, con tact your dealer to arrange a replacement.
11 KEYBOARD SETUP To attach the keyb oard to th e NVR u nit, pl ug the end of the Key b oard in to the keyboard PS/ 2 Port loc a ted o n t he back of the m a chine. The keyboard PS/2 Port c an be identifie d by the purple color. Refer to the Rear Panel Connectors diagram for more in formation.
12 MONITOR SETUP There are up to 2 available connecti ons for monitors w hic h can be us ed i ndiv id ua lly or in tande m. SVGA Output To VGA Monitor. S-Video Output To TV/VCR. Attach the Monitor or Monitors to the Rear of the NVR unit us i ng th e c abl e supplied by the Mon itor Manufactur er.
13 HARD DRIVE ARRAY NOTE: The Alarm Light will tur n on if the Har d Drives reach a t emperature above safe operating c onditions Swapping a Hard Drive 1. Press the hard dri ve power button to turn off p ower to the hard drive you wish to remove. 2. Turn the button lock to the open position an d push the handle release button.
