Environmental note Note : Before discarding an old appliance, switch off and disconnect it from the power supp ly. Cut off and render any plug useless. Cut the cable off directly behind th e appliance to prevent misuse. This should be undertake n by a competent person.

Child safety o Packaging material should be kept away from children. o Children should not be allowed to touch the controls or play with the appliance. General safety o Do not pull on the power supply cable to remove the plug from your mains supply socket.

Description of the product features 1) Shelves o The shelves may be placed in an y of the guide slots within the interior of the appliance. They are protected from sliding out. o To remove a shelf : Take off all of the it ems that are stored on the shelf that you want to remove.
Using your Baumatic larder fridge Before switching on o Make sure that it has been installed by a suitably qualified person, as per the information contained in Baumatic’s installation instructions. o After delivery, wait for eigh t hours before connecting the appliance to your mains supply.
Turning on the appliance an d setting the thermostat You switch on your appliance by connecting it to your mains supply and setting the thermostat. The ther mostat is located on the upper right hand side of the inside of the cabinet, next to the interior light.
12 Arranging and storing food in your refrigerator o Warm food or evaporating liquids should not be stored in your refrigerator, as this will increa se the humidity inside of the appliance. o All foods should be wrapped or covered, this is particularly important if the food has a st rong flavour.
Cleaning and maintenance WARNING: PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR APPLIANCE IS DISCONNECTED FROM YOUR MAINS SUPPLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO CLEAN IT. o Do not clean the appliance by pouring water onto it or spraying water over it. o The refrigerator compartm ent should be cleaned periodically, using a solution of bicarbonate of soda and lukewarm water.
o The evaporating tray and defrost water drain hole should be cleaned periodically with the defr ost drain plug. This will prevent water from collecting in the bottom of the refrigerator, instead of flowing down the defrost drai nage channel and drain hole.
Installation IMPORTANT: Before installation and usage, read all the instructions and make sure tha voltage (V) and the frequency (Hz) indicated on the rating plate are exactly the same as the voltage and frequency in your home. The rating plate can be found on the fr ont left edge of the 15 t the inside of the refrigerator.
Positioning o It is advisable that your appliance is only installed in a location where the ambient temperature of the room, corresponds with the climate classification that is st ated on the rating plate of your appliance. Your appliance may not function correctly if the ambient temperature falls outs ide of the following ranges.
Aperture and appliance dimensions 2) Figure 2 shows the aperture size th at you will need to be able to install your appliance. o The appliance must be stood on a level floor. You can use the leveling feet to take into ac count any minor unevenness in the floor.
Installing your refrigerator If you need the appliance door to open from the other side, then please reverse the door before commencing the installation process. (See Reversing the door section). 4) Insert the top fixing bar ( a ) into the slot on the top of the appliance.

8a) Fit the door guides ( d ) to the appliance door but do not secure them at this stage. o Open the furniture door and the appliance door to their fullest positions. Both of the doors should still be in contact with each other. o Using a pencil, mark where the edge of the appliance door meets with the furniture door.
Reversing the door of your appliance Caution! After unscrewi ng any of the fix ing hinges, hold the door to prevent it from falling and causing damage. 21 be retained for later use. o SUPPORTING THE DOOR . Unscrew the upper hinge o er osite side of the door.
Troubleshooting IMPORTANT: If your refrig erator appears not to be operating properly, before contacting the Baumatic Service Department, please refer to the checklist below. My fridge does not appear to be working/there is no power to my appliance. o Check that the plug is fully in serted into the power socket.
