Safety instructions 4 LEANING OR SITTING ON THE DISHWASHER DOOR WHEN OPEN MA Y CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO OVERTURN, PUTING PEOPLE AT RISK. NEVER LEAVE THE DISHW ASHER DOOR OPEN; PEOPLE MIGHT TRIP OVER IT. Installation instructions 5 2. Inst allation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene basket retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installati on. The back or sides of the dish washer may be plac ed up against walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is ne w or has not been used for a long time, before connecting to the wa ter supply check that the water is c lear and free of impurities, to prevent damage to the appliance .
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precautions CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE RE GULATIONS IN FORCE.

9 3 . Description of the controls 3 .1 Front panel All the dishwasher's controls and indicator s are located on the front panel. Programming and option selection ar e only possible with the door closed .
10 SETTING THE WASHING PROGRAM To select the most suitable program for the dishes to be washed refer to the table below, which i ndicates the most appropriate program acc ording to dish type and degr ee of soiling. Only run the soak program with h alf loads.
11 3 .2 Washing programs The dishwasher is equipped with a control panel and an 3-FIGURE DISPLAY (12) , described in chapter "1. Desc ription of the controls", from which it is possible to carry out all the power switch-on, s witch-off and programming operations.
12 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM To annul the current program, press the S TAR T /P AU SE button (4) for a few seconds, until the PR O GR AM S T AR T E D light (5) stops flashing. Now press the ST AR T/PAUSE button (4) again until " P0 " appears on the display (about 10 seconds ).
13 DELAYING THE PROGRAM (available in all programs ex cept the soak program) The PROGRA M DELAY button (6) can be pressed to delay the start of the washing program by up to 12 hours . This means that the dish washer can be operated at the time of day of your choice.
14 "3/1" OPTION BUTTON (available in all programs ex cept the soak program) By pressing the button (8) you activate the " 3/1 " option, confir med when the relative light comes on.
15 STARTING THE DISHWASHER After carrying out all the operations descr ibed above correctly, to start the dishwasher simply press t he press the ST ART / P AU SE button (4) for a few seconds until a beep sounds (the PROGRAM STARTED (5) light starts to flash).
16 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher has been correctly installed, prepare for use as follows: x Adjust the water softening system; x Add the regenerating salt; x Add the rinse aid and detergent.
17 x Do not use t able salt as it contains insoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. x When necessary, refill the regenerating salt container before starting the washing program .

19 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dr y faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatically added to the water during the final rinse cycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 20 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, lightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions 21 x "3/1" Products If you wish to use detergents which already contain salt and rins e aid, check whether your dishwasher is fitted with the " 3/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page and then refer to the section which explains how to use this funct ion.
User instructions 22 WARNING! x Make sure that the dishes are securely in place so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotation of the spray arms during the washing cycle. x Do not place very small obj ects in the baskets as these could fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
23 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacity of 12 place-settings , including serv ing dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force of the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “toughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
24 CUTLERY BASKET The basket has removable top gri ds into which items of cutlery can be inserted to keep them properly spac ed and allow water to pass between them effectively. The cutlery supports and c entral lid are in the bag of acc essories. The central lid is intended to act only as a cover: do not place the cutlery in it.
25 LOADING THE UPPER BASKET Load plates facing forward; cups, bo wls etc. must always be facing downwards. The left-hand side of the basket can be loaded with two layers of cups and glasses. The centre can be filled with plates and side- plates, fitted upright into the supports provided.
Version B: x pull out the basket to its limit position and pull the right side upwards. At this point it is possible to load larger sized plates i nto the lower basket. x To return to the original positi on, pull out the upper basket again and press the release lever.
27 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, always unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the all- pole disconnection de vice. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasive detergents.
28 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT x It is advisable to periodically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip the tabs, turn them anticlockwise and lift upwards;.
29 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: x Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside the water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water supply tap for a few minutes. x Plug the power cord back into the socket.
30 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: x there is rinse aid inside the special c ontainer; x the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; x the detergent used is of good quality and has not lost its effectiveness (for example, through incorrect storage, with the box left open).
