Installation instructions 2. Installation and hook-up Remove th e polystyr ene basket reta iners. Position the a ppliance in th e desir ed place of installat ion. The bac k or sides o f the dishw asher may be placed up against w alls or oth er furniture units.
Installation instructions 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long tim e, before connecting to the water supply check that the water is cl ear and free of impurities, to prevent damage to the appliance.

User instructions 3. Operating instructions Once the di shwasher has been corre ctly installed, pr epare for use as follows: • Adjust the w ater softening syste m; • Add the regenera ting salt; • Add the rinse a id and deter gent.
User instructions • Do not use table salt as it contain s insolub le substance s which, over time, m ay damage the water softe ning syst em. • When neces sary, refill t he regenerating salt container bef ore starting the washi ng program .
User instructions ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formatio n of scale deposits and staining; it is automat ically added to the water during the fin al rinse cy cle, from t he container situated on t he inner side of the door.
User instructions ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the de tergent disp enser cap, lightly press the button P . Add the deter gent and close the cap carefully.
User instructions • The market off ers liquid and powder detergents w ith differing chemical compositi ons, which may contain ph osphates , or be phosphate-free but contai n natural en zymes . - Detergents containing phosphates are m ore effectiv e against grease and st arch at temper atures above 60°C .
User instructions 3.3 General warnings and recommendations Before usi ng the dishwash er for t he first tim e, it is ad visable to rea d the following r ecommend ations con cerning di sh types to be w ashed and their loading.
User instructions Items which are not dishwasher-s afe: • Wooden dishe s, pots or p ans: these m ay be dam aged by the high wash ing temperat ures. • Handcrafted item s: these are r arely suita ble for washing in a dishwash er. The rel atively high w ater temperatur es and the detergent s used may dam age them .
User instructions 3.4 Using th e baskets The dishwasher ha s a capac ity of 12 pl ace -set tin gs , in cluding serv ing dishes. User instructions LOWER BASKET The low er basket receives th e full force of the low er spray arm, and should theref ore be used for the “toughe st” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions CUTLERY BASKET The cutler y should be arr anged in an order ly manner inside the basket, with the ha ndles point ing downw ards. Take care durin g loading to avoid injury from t he knife bl ades. The basket is suit able for all types of cutlery, except those lo ng enough t o interfere w ith the upper spray arm.
User instructions The top bask et is fitted (on the left) with two plastic ra cks w hich can be raised to make r oom for tall glasses, such a s stem gla sses. On the right there are two cutlery racks d esigned to t ake kn ives and teaspoons; w hen not in use, they can be left v ertical, atta ched to the basket.
User instructions ADJUSTING THE UPPER BASKET The upper basket can be adj usted in two positions , acc ord in g to th e user’s need s and accor ding to t he height o f the dishes in the lower basket.
User instructions 4. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any w ork, always disconne ct the appliance from the electrical pow er supply.
User instructions CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advis able to peri odically ins pect the ce ntre filter C and, if necessary , to clean it .
User instructions BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLO NGED DISUSE: • Check that ther e are no depo sits of s ludge or rust inside the water pipe: if t here are, allow the water to run from the water suppl y tap for a few minut es. • Plug the power cor d back i nto the socket.
User instructions If the dishes fail t o dry or remain dull, check that: • there is r inse aid insi de the spec ial contai ner; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct ; • the deterg ent used is of good quality an d has not l ost its effectivene ss (for e xample, thro ugh incorrect storage, wi th the box left open).
