55 TO INSTALL A ND REPLACE BAT TERIES IN THE WEATHER STA TION The W eather Station uses 2 x AA, IEC LR6, 1.5V b atteries. To ins tall and repl ace the batteries, plea se follow th e steps belo w: 1. Insert fin ger or other s olid object in the space at t he bottom c enter of the b attery compartm ent and lift up to remov e the cover.
56 INSTALL AND REPL ACE BATTERIE S IN THE THERMO -HYGRO TR ANSMITTER The Thermo- hygro transm itter uses 2 x AA, IEC LR6, 1.5V batte ry. To install a nd replace th e batteries, pl ease follo w the steps belo w: 1. Remove the b attery compa rtment cove r.
57 BATT ERY CH A NGE: It is recomme nded to repl ace the batte ries in all u nits on an an nual basis to ensure optim um accurac y of these u nits. Please partici pate in the preser vation of the e nvironme nt. Return use d batteries to an auth orized depot.
58 3. After the batte ries are inse rted, the W eather stati on will start rec eiving data signal from t he transmitte r. The outdoor tem perature and humidity data should then b e displayed on the W eather station. If this does n ot happen after 2 minut es, the batte ries will need to be remove d from both units and res et from step 1.
59 4. The outdoo r temperature and humidit y data from the fi rst transmi tter (channel 1) should the n be displa yed on the W eather Station. Also, th e signal recep tion icon will b e displayed. If this does n ot happen after 2 minutes, t he batteries will need to be rem oved from both units and reset from step 1.
60 8. In order to ens ure sufficie nt 868 MHz tr ansmission h owever, the distance bet ween the W eather Station and the transmitter sh ould not be m ore than 10 0 meters (se e notes on “ P ositionin g” and “868 M Hz Recepti on ”).

67 LCD CONTRA ST SETTING: The LCD co ntrast can be set within 8 le vels, from L CD 0 to LCD 7 (Default setti ng is LCD 4): 1. Press and h old the SET key until the di git starts flas hing. 2. Use the OUT /+ key to vie w all levels of contrast. 3. Select the d esired LCD c ontrast.
68 The time zon e default of t he Weather S tation is “0 ”. To set a di fferent time zone: 1. The current tim e zone val ue starts flash ing. 2. Use the OUT /+ key to se t the time zo ne. The range runs from 0 to -12 and th en runs from + 12 back to 0 in consecutive 1-hour intervals.
69 3. Confirm with the SET k ey and enter t he 12/24-ho ur format setti ng . Note: If the Time R eception fu nction is tur n OFF ma nually, the clo ck will not attempt an y reception o f the DCF tim e as long as t he Time Re ception OF F function i s activated.

T his can be m anually set t o another valu e within the range of 96 0 – 1040 hPa (28.35 – 30.7 2 inHg) for a better referen ce. 1. The current rel ative press ure value will start flashin g 2.
75 WE A T HER FORECASTING ICON SENSITIVITY SETTING: For locations with rapid c hanges of weather conditio ns, the weather icons se nsitivity c an be set to a di fferent level f or faster displa y of weather con ditions. 1. The current se nsitivity val ue will start fl ashing.
76 TO EXIT THE MAN UAL SETTING MODE To exit the m anual setting m ode anytim e during the m anual settin g, press t he CH ke y or wait for automa tic timeout.
77 INDOOR RELA TIVE HUMIDITY AND INDOOR T EMPERATU RE: The indoor t emperature a nd humidity d ata, the indo or comfort in dicator are a utomatically up dated and displayed o n the second secti on of the LCD.
78 THE COMFORT LEVEL IND ICATOR: Comfortabl e : A happy fac e icon “ ☺ ” indic ating a tem perature level between 20°C and 25. 9°C and relativ e humidity readi ng between 4 5% and 65 %. Uncomforta ble : A sad face ico n “ ” indic ating any valu e outside the c omfortable range.

84 TOGGLING A ND RESETTING THE OUTDOOR DA TA 1. To toggle be tween the ou tdoor current, MAX/MIN temp erature an d humidity da ta and the tim es (for tempe rature data only) the y were recor ded press th e OUT/+ ke y: Once to sho w the MA X outdoor temper ature and hum idity data with the record ed time and dat e.
85 3. To reset the minim um an d maximum te mperature and humidit y data, and the ti mes at which they were r ecorded, press the SET key continuo usly for ab out 3 secon ds. This will reset the MIN/ MA X data recorded to t he current time, date, tem perature an d humidit y.
86 LOW BATTERY INDICATOR Low batter y indicator is dis played on th e LCD when t he batteries require cha nging. A BOUT THE OUTDOOR TRANSMITT ER The range of t he Thermo -hygro transmi tter ma y be affected by th e temperat ure. At cold tem peratures t he transmittin g distance ma y be decreased .

89 Foldout ta ble stand: The foldout t able stand leg is located o n the back side. Pull the stand out fr om the bottom ce nter edge of the weather statio n, below the battery comp artment. Onc e the foldout table st and is extended, plac e the weathe r station i n an appropria te location .
90 To wall mou nt: 1. Secure the br acket onto a desired wall using the scre ws and plastic anchors. 2. Clip the remot e thermo-h ygro transmitt er onto the bra cket. Note: Before perma nently fixing the transm itter wall base, place all u nits in the desired locati ons to chec k that the outd oor temperatu re reading is receivable.
