Before connecting and using the unit, please take time to r ead this manual thoroughly to ensure y ou understand how to properly set up and connect the unit, as well as the operation of its many useful and con venient functions.
8 T ASCAM CD-200iL 1 – Intr oduc tion Precautions f or placement • The operating tempera ture should be between 5°C and 35°C (41°F and 95°F). • Do not place the unit in the following types of locations . Doing so could degrade the sound quality or cause malfunction.

CAUTION Before turning the power on, minimize the volume of the connected device. F ailure to do so could c ause loud noises that might result in harm to your hearing or other trouble.

T rack numbers can have a maximum of two digits f or audio CDs and a maximum of three digits f or data CDs.

14 T ASCAM CD-200iL 3 – Pr epara tions C onnecting an iPod or iPhone This unit can control an iP od or iPhone and output its audio when it is connected to the iP od dock on the front.

Lightning connector iPod or iP hone with a Lightning connector 8 Connecting an iP od or iPhone with a 30-pin Dock connector 1. Push the iP od dock in the center where it says PUSH OPEN to unlock the iP od dock.

CAUTION • When removing the dock adapter , use a hand to hold the iPod dock in place .
T ASCAM CD-200iL 17 3 – Pr epara tions Preparing the r emote control Inser ting batteries 1. Open the lid. 2. Confirm ¥ / ^ polarity , and inser t t wo AA batteries . 3. Close the lid. Replacing the batteries Replace both batteries with new ones when the range of the remote contr ol becomes shor t or if the function buttons become unresponsive .

T ASCAM CD-200iL 19 4 – CD pla yback In this chapter , we explain playback functions that can be used with tracks on CDs. The following e xplanations assume that a CD that contains audio files/tracks has been loaded in this unit, the power is ON and the -CD- has been set as the current source .
20 T ASCAM CD-200iL 4 – CD pla yback Playback modes This unit can play back tracks using the f ollowing three playback modes. Continuous pla yback mode (default setting) T racks on the CD are played back in numerical order .
T ASCAM CD-200iL 21 4 – CD pla yback Selec ting a track There are tw o ways to select a track. Y ou can move (skip) to the previous or next track, or you can select a track directly by its track number . Skipping to the next or previous tr ack Use the main unit SEARCH m / , [ .

When using the remote con trol number (0-9) buttons , enter the number starting with the largest unit.
