16 3 General Use Wake up the system W hen the system is not in use, it is i n standb y mode and the sc reen is black . This is to help protect the m onitor display. W ake up the s ystem b y pick ing up the rem ote control. An incom ing call or pressing an y key on the rem ote contro l will also wak e up the s ystem.
General Use 17 3.1 The Welcome Screen W hen the system is switched o n, the welcom e screen will be d isplayed. The welcom e screen presents the m enu and displa ys your main cam era image in t he back ground (display m ain camera is the def ault setting).

General Use 25 3.2.3 Layout The layout of the screen can either b e shown as Picture in Picture (P IP) or Picture outside Picture (POP) when displ aying m ore than one video im age. The beha vior of the La yout button is dependent on the Picture La yout setting in Scree n Settings .
TANDBERG 300 0 MXP 26 3.2.4 Mic Off To mute the m icrophone dur ing a call, press the M ic off button. An on-screen ind icator appears in the upper right c orner when the m icrophone is off . In a call, if aud io is detected, th e on-screen symbol will start t o flash.
General Use 27 3.2.5 Volume + and - Press the Volum e ke y to adj ust the volum e level of the codec on ly (not the m onitor). An on- screen indicator will show the curr ent level.

General Use 29 3.2.7 Touch Tones To activate dia ling touch tones duri ng a call, pres s the Touc h tones button. Other wise the num ber ke y s will activat e the correspondin g cam era presets. An indicator will let you k now that Touch tones are enab led.

T he web par ticipants can listen to the m eeting, see snapsho ts, but not part icipate them selves. Snapshots of c urrent stream (if MultiSite), se lfview, far end a nd DuoVideo str eam s are accessible via htt p.
General Use 41 Streaming Source* Auto: Enables str eaming of both local and far end video. Selection of which site to be s treamed is done us ing voice switching (the site that speak s is stream ed). Local: Onl y the local video will b e stream ed.

General Use 45 3.8.1 Delay Standby for 1 hour Delay Standb y for 1 hour postpon es the s y stem from entering stand by mode for 1 ho ur. This func tion is useful when using th e monitors f or a local presenta tion to preven t the system from autom atically blanking the monitors.

TANDBERG 300 0 MXP 48 3.9 Phone Book The Phone Book is available v ia the Phone Bo ok button on the rem ote contr ol or from the Make a Call menu. Using the Phone Book is tim e saving and prevents th e user from inadvertently callin g the wrong number.
General Use 49 3.9.1 Call Log The Call Log lists Placed C alls, Missed Ca lls and Received C alls. That allo ws the user to see which calls that are made in the past. The lists c ontain a m aximum of 30 numbers and the numbers are stored in these lists until the s y stem is restarted.

General Use 53 3.9.2.2 New MultiSite Contact (Optional feature*) The New MultiS ite Contact function is availab le from My Contacts . It is possible to pr e-define the p articipants of a conference m eeting as a MultiSite Contact.

General Use 55 3.9.2.3 Edit Contact The Edit Contact f unction is avai lable from My Contacts . How to edit a contact in the Local Phone Book: 1. Select the contac t that is to be edited. 2. Press the left arr ow on the r emote control, fol lowed by the do wn arrow until the Edit Contact icon is s elected.

General Use 57 3.9.3 Global Contacts W hen selecting Phone Book the phone book opens showing th e Global Contacts* or the Corporate Direc tory** below the f olders Placed Calls, Missed C alls, Received C alls and M y Contacts. These contacts cannot be changed locall y by the system , only from the m anagement system .
TANDBERG 300 0 MXP 58 3.9.3.1 Up one Level Global Contacts can be arranged i n a tree structure with several su b folders. Use the Up one Level button to n avigate up in t he tree structure. W hen a search in the Global Phone Book is m ade, by us ing the Search f unction, onl y contacts matc hing the search text are disp layed.
General Use 59 3.9.3.2 Search The phone book can contain an un limited amount of global cont acts. Using sear ch mak es it easier to find the wanted contact. How to search in the Global Phone Book: 1. Select the Search icon. 2. Enter search text in the dialogue box that app ears and pres s the OK button on the remote c ontrol.
TANDBERG 300 0 MXP 60 3.9.3.3 Copy Co ntact to M y Co ntacts The Copy Contac t to M y Contacts function is av ailable fr om the Placed Calls, Mis sed Calls, Received Calls a nd Global Contacts folders, see Phone Book for details. It ma y be wise to co py contacts that are often us ed to My Cont acts.
General Use 61 3.10 Camera Control There are sever al ways to control the camer a: Control the cam era directl y with the arrow k eys when the m enu is closed or us e the Move Camera f unction in the m enu to control both the near end and far e nd camer a, see Move Camera and Far End Control for details.

Movin g the camera directl y with the remote con trol W hen the menu is hidden, t he arrow ke ys will work on the c amera. If the menu is displa yed, press the Cancel button on the rem ote control to hide it.
General Use 63 3.10.2 Far End Control Far End Control allows you to control your conference partner ’ s cam era. An example of when this feature could be es peciall y helpful is if it is not p ossible to see what a partici pant at the far en d is writing on their white board.

T his is useful when pictures f rom m any different cam era angles have to be s ent to the far end . E.g. in a meeting there is a white board, a PC and a sm all meeting tab le.
General Use 65 3.10.4 T A NDBERG Tracker How to save presets for the T ANDBERG T racker: 1. Select which cam era prese t is to be used on th e TAND BERG Tr acker. 2. Move the cam era to the desired pos ition to store on the track er. 3. Select Move Cam era - Save Ne w Preset in the m enu.

General Use 69 3.11.1 Presentation Key The quick est way to show a present ation is to use th e presentatio n ke y on the rem ote control. The presentation ke y is used to start and stop a pres entation. T he presentatio n key will d isplay PC (default*).
