Make Sure R ackStation Rec ognizes New M emory Capacity Aft er ins tall ing a new memory module in your Rack Statio n , we recommended check ing whether t he syst em recognizes the new memory.
12 Chapt er 2: Hard ware Setu p To replace the long brack et with the short one : 1 Remove th e two scr ews holdi ng the long er br acket to the inte rface card. Then remov e the br acket as ind icat ed below . 2 Replace th e long er br acket with the shorter one from your R ackStation .

In th e event of a fan malfu nction , your RackStat io n will emit a beeping so und. Thi s section w ill guid e you thro ugh the steps nec essary to repla ce a malfunction ing fan.
