Exploring the main window When you st art Norton 360, the main windo w opens. The main windo w prov ides access to all N orton 360 feat ures, options, Help , and Support .
The main windo w contains three ar eas that pr ovide acc ess to tasks and servic es. The areas ar e as follow s: The following links are displayed at the top of the main window: 1 T asks Opens the T asks page, which lets you perform manual scans, backups, product updates, view statistics, run a diagnos tic report, and buy more storage.
The Status summary bar is in the middle of the main window , and provides an overall status of the protection categories. Y our status may be Protected if your computer is secure, or At Risk if an area needs your attention. This area also provides a Fix button.
Protection categories is the largest area on the main window and contains the following: 1 PC Security Provides overall protection status and access to the PC Security page, where you can view the status of protection that is associated with your Internet preferences.
bar near the top of the wind ow indicates the curr ent state of y our computer . If an issue r e quir es your att ention, the status summary bar describes the issue. If mor e than one issue requir es your at tention, the status summary bar displa ys the number of issues.
Y ou might see messages in the f ollowing locat ions: Several types of Norton 360 messages appear in the lower-right corner of your Windows desktop. F or example, if your PC was turned off , or if it has not been connected to the Internet for a while, you see a message that your protection may not be up to date.
Each category changes its color if its status changes. A green circle with a checkmark indicates that all the items in a category are in a good state. Y ellow or red circles indicate possible issues that you should investigate. When you click any category , its details page lists anything that needs attention.
