4 Mounting Diagram T o permanently mount the camera: • Remove the circular moun ting plate from the base of the stand b y unscrewing the stand. See the image (right). • Remove the metal ring. Keep it somewhere safe if y ou think you might need it.

7 Local WIFI Congur ation: Acc ess T o congure the camer a via the Local WIFI Congura tion mode, you ’ll need the following: • Y our Android device or iPhone / iP ad with the SwannSmart app correctly installed. • An internet connection (other than your mobile device) that the camer a can use to connect to the Internet.
8 Y ou will receive an on-screen message upon starting the app informing you that SwannSmart has detected the camera, asking if you would like to proceed with conguration.
9 Connect to Internet Y ou’ll need to decide whether you ’ re using a wireless or a wired network to connect to the Internet. W e suggest using the wireless connection as it’ s one less cable to worry about - however , wired connections don ’t suer connectivity problems as often as wireless ones and are inherently mor e secure.
10 T o access y our ADS-450 via the Internet, you’ll need to setup a S wannSmart account. • Accoun ts are easy to setup , and it only takes a moment. • Y ou can create an account during the Local WIFI Congura tion step, or you can do it via the SwannSmart website .
11 Inter face: Login & C amera List Logging In Once the camera has been congur ed and connected to the Internet, and the Local WIFI Conguration swit ch has been turned OFF , then you’ll be able to log in to your account and view images fr om the camera.
12 Navigating the Mobile Inter face Ac cess via the Sw annSmar t W ebsite F rom a web bro wser , you can login to your acc ount via the SwannSmart website .
13 Inter face: Live View The Live V iew inter face is the default interface when you open a camera from the list. The image will alway s be displayed in landscape mode (where the devic e is held so that the screen is wider than it is tall). Other modes (such as the Eve nt inter face) use a portrait orientation.
14 Inter face: Even ts Shown here is an example of the E vents interface as seen on an iPhone. The Android app will appea r slightly dierent, but is functionally similar . Note that you’ ll need to properly congure and upgrade your S wannSmart account before you c an access the Event int er face .

16 Regular Stream The options listed under Regular Stream will aect the way that images are str eamed from the camera ov er the Internet. These settings will aect both the perceiv ed quality of your images, as well as the bandwidth r equired to send/rec eive them.
