21 Hookup s and Settings Step 4 : Connec ting the Mains Lead Connect the su pplied mains le ad to the AC IN ter minal of th e re corder . Then plug the recorder and TV mai ns leads into the mai ns. After you connect the mains lead , yo u must wait for a short while before operat ing the recor der.
22 You can adjust the remote’s s ignal to contr ol your TV. b • D epending on th e connected unit, yo u may not be able to control yo ur TV with some or all of the buttons be low. • I f you enter a new code numbe r, the code numb er previou sly enter ed will be er ased.

If the equip ment has an S-vi deo jack, you ca n use an S-video c able in stead of an audi o/video c able. z When the connected equipment outp uts only monaural sound, connect to only the L(MONO) and VIDEO input jacks on the front of the recorde r.

31 Basic O perations 31 You can set the record er to reco rd in 30- minu te increm ents. Press z REC repea tedly to set the durat ion. Each press a dvances the time in 30-minute increments. The maximum duratio n is 8 hours . The tim e count er decrea ses mi nute by minu te to 0:00, then th e record er stop s record ing.
