5 Recom mended plac e for the Med ia receiv er unit Place the M edia receiver unit on a stable, level surface. Otherwise, the Media receiver unit may fall and cause injury. Use an optional Sony stand, which has adequate strength. Wei ght Do not stand on the Media receiver unit.
6 Ship and ve ssel Do not i nstall this unit in a ship or vessel. If the unit is exposed to seawater, it may cause fire or damage the unit. Fall Do not han g anything on t he unit. The unit may fall from the stand or wall mount uni t, causing damage or serious inj ury.

22 Setup Basic Connections: Connecting a Cable or Antenna The way in which you will connect your TV v aries, depending on how y our home recei ves a signal ( cable, cable box, anten na) and whether or no t you plan to connect a VCR.
23 Setup Cable or Antenna Only Fo r best results, use one of the f ollowing conne ctions if y ou are connecting a cable or an ant enna and you : s Do not need a cab le box to unscramb l e channels. (If you ha ve a cable box, see p age 27.) s Do not in t end to conn ect a VCR.
