18 The Set Up Menu The “Set Up” menu al lows you to alter various options on this TV. To do this: Press the MENU button and press v three times to select , then press OK to enter this menu. Next press v or V to select the desired option and press OK .

26 Remote Control Configuration for VCR or DVD In it’s default c ondition this remote control will operate the basic functions of this Sony TV, Sony DVDs and most Sony VCRs. To control VCRs and DVDs of ot her manufacturers (and some Sony VCR models), th e remote control needs to be configured.

28 Replacing the lamp When the lamp becomes dark or the picture colour is not normal or the lamp indicator on the TV set flashes, replace with a new lamp. • Only use the lamp XL-2100E for replacement. If you us e another lamp, it may cause damage to the TV set.

32 Troubleshooting Here are some simple solutions to probl ems which may affect the picture and sound. Problem No picture (screen is dark) and no sound. Poor or no picture (screen is dark), but good sound. No picture or no menu information from equipment connected to the Scart connector.
